Château Beaumont 2022 is a Cru Bourgeois from the Haut-Médoc, one of the famous appellations on the left bank of the Gironde in Bordeaux.

It embodies the classic values of a very high-quality wine from the Bordelais, with a beautiful, clear structure, good tannins, fruit and a high ageing potential.

The blend consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot.

Château Beaumont 2022 has a deep violet-red color with beautiful purple reflections. The bouquet impresses with beautiful blackberry notes, tobacco, undergrowth, chocolate and dark fruit. Silky tannins on the palate, full-bodied and rich, with a spicy finish.

Already drinkable now after a little decanting, the Beaumont 2022 has an excellent life expectancy.

The Château La Commanderie is a cuvée made of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot. The grapes for this classical Saint-Estèphe, in the Cru Bourgeois range, come from vines that are more than 30 years old. The wine matured for 12 months in French oak casks.The vines for the 2017 La Commanderie grew in the highest vineyards with gravel soils located in the village of Saint-Estèphe. The wine is a typical example of this outstanding vintage in the Bordeaux region. It is already very enjoyable but will further improve over the next 8-10 years. The Château La Commanderie is beguiling on the nose, offering lovely, spicy aromas and fragrances of red and dark berries, cherries, pepper and polish. On the palate, it has an impressive abundance of fruit and silky, very well integrated tannins and a lovely long finish, showing subtle hints of mint and herbs.This charming Saint-Estèphe goes beautifully with beef, steaks, lamb, game and various cheeses. We recommend decanting the wine 1-2 hours before drinking it.

Auf Château du Retout, geführt vom Ehepaar Helene und Frederic Soual-Kopp, entstehen seit nunmehr fast 20 Jahren wunderbar klassische Bordeaux-Weine, die sich kaum hinter einem noch so großen Namen aus dem Médoc verstecken müssen. Verantwortlich hierfür ist zum einen das herausragende Terroir dieses Cru Bourgeois Supérieur, zum anderen aber auch die Hingabe seiner Besitzer, die ihr nahe der Appellation Margaux gelegenes Weingut bewußt umweltfreundlich führen und mit dem Label HVE3 (Haute Valeur Environnementale) ausgezeichnet sind. Das Beste an Château du Retout ist indes der Preis; Weine von derart umwerfender Qualität dürften weltweit kaum zu solch moderaten Preisen zu finden sein.2020 war ein ausgezeichnetes Jahr am linken Ufer der Gironde, und so macht es uns Spaß, Ihnen diesen Wein präsentieren zu dürfen, der dominiert wird von einem hohen Anteil Cabernet Sauvignon (der Rebberg setzt sich aus 74 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 16 % Merlot und 10 % Petit Verdot zusammen).Der du Retout 2020 wirkt verführerisch fruchtig an der Nase, mit viel Schwarzkirsche, schwarzen Johannisbeeren, Brombeeren, Pflaume und Cassis. Auch Pflaume, etwas Lakritz und Zedernholz, Gewürznoten,  Sandelholz und Kakao spielen hier mit durchaus straffen, aber gut integrierten Tanninen zusammen. Das Gesamtpaket ist äußerst intensiv, mit einem lang nachhallenden Ausklang. Ein Best-Buy-Wein, der nach etwas Dekantieren bereits jetzt schon genossen werden kann, allerdings von einer Kellerreife noch profitieren wird.Wir empfehlen den du Retout 2020 Solo, oder aber als food-pairing mit Ente, Geschmortem, Rind, Lamm und Hartkäse.Gabriel (A. Château Fontesteau 2020 is a remarkable red wine from the prestigious Haut-Médoc appellation in Bordeaux. The historic Château Fontesteau, which dates back to the 13th century, is surrounded by a rich ecosystem, including a forest of centuries-old oaks and a picturesque pond. During the reclassification in the Médoc, Château Fontesteau was promoted to the "Cru Bourgeois Supérieur" category, with only 14 of a total of 249 Cru Bourgeois represented in this higher category. The grapes for this red wine grow on the 35 hectares of vineyards on the 100-hectare estate on gravelly soils, which allow optimal drainage and ensure slow, even ripening of the grapes. The cuvée is made up of the typical Bordeaux grape varieties, primarily Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.After the harvest, vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks in order to preserve the fruitiness and elegance of the wine. The wine is then matured in French oak barrels, which gives it additional depth and a fine spiciness. In the glass, Château Fontesteau is a deep ruby red with violet reflections. The bouquet exudes intense aromas of blackcurrants, dark cherries and fine roasted aromas, complemented by nuances of cedar wood and graphite. On the palate, the wine impresses with a successful balance of powerful tannins, juicy fruit and well-integrated acidity. The fine spice from the wood maturation rounds off the taste and leads to a long-lasting, elegant finish.This classic Bordeaux is an excellent accompaniment to grilled beef, rack of lamb or braised duck. It is also an excellent choice with mature hard cheese or a traditional French cheese platter.Château Fontesteau should be served at 16 to 18 °C and ideally decanted before drinking to allow the aromas to develop to their full potential.A classic Haut-Médoc with structure, depth and elegance - perfect for Bordeaux lovers and festive occasions.
