Nik Weis Sankt Urbans-Hof Bockstein GG 2021

Der Ockfener Bockstein ist eine Lage in einem Seitental der Saar. Diese Lage zeichnet sich durch besonders hohe Temperaturunterschiede zwischen Tag und Nacht aus, da am Tag praktisch kein Schatten die Trauben trifft. Der Boden besteht aus geröllartigen grauem Schiefer, was dem Wein eine unglaubliche Würze verleiht. Durch einen oberhalb des Weinbergs befindlichen Wald wird immer ausreichend Wasser gespeichert, sobald auch in trockenen Perioden eine optimale Versorgung der Reben sichergestellt ist. In der Nase viel Zitrusfrüchte und eine Menge an floralen Noten. Ergänzt durch Aromen von Flieder, Veilchen, Melone und einem Hauch mineralische Note. Der Gaumen ist der Weißwein cremig und weich mit moderater Säure. Die überreife Frucht tritt deutlich hervor und macht den Nik Weis Bockstein GG intensiv und elegant zu gleich. Der lange, feinwürzige Abgang wird unterstützt von einer zarten Süße. What’s true for classical music also applies to the Pfaffl Gemischter Satz Harmony: many high-quality elements unite to create a harmonious whole. Roman Josef Pfaffl succeeded in creating a spicy, light wine full of vividness, freshness and fruitiness, consisting mainly of the Riesling Pinot Blanc and Grüner Veltliner. The grapes for this wine were harvested by hand. The wine matured for 3 months in stainless steel tanks before it was bottled in Burgundy bottles with screwcaps.The Pfaffl Gemischter Satz Harmony also expresses the return to the distinctive character of such cuvées. The focus on pure varietal wines pushed these blends into the background for a long time, but they are now being increasingly rediscovered. The wines from the Weinviertel region, the biggest Austrian wine-growing area extending over approximately 44,479 acres, are often influenced by the Grüner Veltliner grape variety. Pfaffl Vom Haus Riesling 2024

From farm to winery. Pfaffl has developed rapidly since it was founded in 1978 and was even voted European Winery of the Year by Wine Enthusiast. The Pfaffl winery is at home in Austria's largest wine-growing region. Lower Austria stands for loess soils, warm days and cool nights. An excellent terroir for the Riesling grapes of Pfaffl Vom Haus Riesling.After the harvest, the grapes are destemmed and crushed. Before pressing, they are left on the skins for 2 hours. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 18°C in stainless steel tanks.In the glass, Pfaffl's Vom Haus Riesling is light yellow in color. The bouquet combines notes of mandarin, peach, apricot and pear. On the palate, the white wine is wonderfully fruity and fresh and dry. You can taste something salty and mineral in the aftertaste.Serve the wine at a drinking temperature of 10-12°C with a salad with feta.
