The Bulgarini Gerumi Garda Merlot IGT is a powerful and elegant red wine from the municipality of Cavriana in the province of Mantova, in the heart of the morainic hills south of Lake Garda. This region, characterized by clayey and gravelly soils, offers ideal conditions for the cultivation of Merlot and gives the wine its characteristic depth and complexity.The grapes come from carefully selected plots and are only harvested by hand in particularly favorable vintages. After briefly drying the grapes in small crates, they are gently destemmed and macerated for around ten days. Malolactic fermentation gives the wine additional roundness before it matures for twelve months in medium-toasted oak tonneaux. Subsequent bottle ageing for a further five to six months ensures harmony and depth.In the glass, Gerumi is an intense ruby red with violet hues. The bouquet is broad and complex, characterized by ripe cherry, pickled wild berries and fine spicy notes. Aromas of vanilla, cinnamon, cloves and black pepper combine with hints of roasted coffee, tobacco and licorice, giving it an unmistakable profile.On the palate, the wine is warm, full-bodied and powerful, with soft tannins and a long, harmonious structure. The Bulgarini Gerumi Garda Merlot IGT is an ideal accompaniment to red meat, roasts, game dishes and medium-aged cheeses - a wine with character, depth and Mediterranean elegance.

Delheim Grand Reserve 2020

The grapes for Delheim Grand Reserve 2020 were harvested by hand in small batches, with only the best grapes being processed. The juice was fermented in a combination of open-top fermenters and vertical stainless steel tanks. After extraction, the wine matured for 18 months in 300-liter French oak barrels.The complex bouquet of this cuvée of 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12.5% Cabernet Franc, 12.5% Petit Verdot and 6% Merlot is dominated by blackberries and blackcurrants, followed by notes of tobacco and tomato leaves, on the palate, this red wine from South Africa is elegantly balanced with aromas of dark red fruit and a soft, smooth finish dark red fruits and a soft, chalky tannin finish that is typical of the region.Enjoy this powerful, fruity blend from the Stellenbosch region at a drinking temperature of 16 to 18 degrees.
