Der Fetzer 1000 Stories Bourbon Barrel Aged Zinfandel ist ein außergewöhnlicher Rotwein aus Kalifornien. Der amerikanische Bio-Wein-Pionier setzte in den 1970er-Jahren auf den Ausbau von Weinen in gebrauchten Bourbonfässern. Denn französisches Barrique war kaum zu bekommen. Diese Vergangenheit, die auch vom Tatendrang und Pioniergeist Fetzers zeugt, lässt das Weingut nun wieder aufleben.Der Blend aus Zinfandel und Petite Syrah vereint in seinem Bukett Noten von dunklen Kirschen und Pflaumen mit Nuancen von Tabak, Mokka und kraftvollen, erdigen Tönen. Dazu kommen durch den Ausbau im Bourbonfass wunderbar harmonierende Töne von Vanille und Röstaromen.Am Gaumen ist der Fetzer 1000 Stories Bourbon Barrel Aged Zinfandel weich und saftig.
