The Raka Cabernet Franc is an expressive red wine from South Africa. The Cabernet Franc grape variety is known for its elegance and herbal-spicy finesse - and shows its fruity, charming side here. Produced in small quantities and with great care, this wine combines depth, structure and pure grape variety characteristics.On the nose, the Raka Cabernet Franc has a seductive aroma of licorice and floral notes, accompanied by a delicate hint of sweet cherries. The palate reveals a soft, harmonious body with the characteristic aroma of cherry jam. The finely integrated tannins provide a supple grip and give the wine structure without overloading it. The finish is round, long and pleasantly spicy.The wine is made purely from 100% Cabernet Franc. The grapes come from the cooler sites of Walker Bay, where the grape variety ripens optimally thanks to the fresh sea breezes and develops its typical aromas.All the grapes were carefully harvested by hand and fermented with pure yeasts after selection. During the five-day fermentation, the must was pumped over the skins three to five times a day to gently extract color, aromas and tannins. After racking and malolactic fermentation, the wine matured for 12 to 14 months in 225-liter French oak barrels, giving it additional complexity and fine wood notes. The wine was only bottled and labeled after this maturation period.This Cabernet Franc is an excellent accompaniment to braised lamb, grilled beef, game dishes or pasta with mushrooms. It is also an ideal accompaniment to medium-bodied cheeses such as Tomme de Savoie or Manchego.

On the palate, the wine is juicy and full-bodied, supported by aromas of red and black fruits, elegant wood notes and a fine spiciness that lingers on the long finish.This complex cuvée is made from a careful selection of fine grape varieties from the renowned Klein River Ward wine-growing region in South Africa. The grapes were all harvested by hand to ensure the highest quality.In the wine cellar, the grapes were carefully sorted and fermented with pure yeasts. Maceration lasted five days, during which the must was pumped over the skins 3-5 times a day and the cap was punched down to maximize depth of colour and aromatics. After alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation took place, followed by a short resting phase. The red wine then matured for 12 to 14 months in 225-liter French oak barrels before being blended, bottled and labeled.Raka Figurehead is an excellent accompaniment to hearty dishes such as roast beef, lamb and game, as well as mature hard cheeses and mushroom dishes. For an optimal taste experience, we recommend a drinking temperature of 16-18 °C.

The Raka Quinary is an impressive South African red wine cuvée with multiple international awards. The nose is multi-layered with spicy notes of cassis, leather and fine roasted aromas. On the palate, the wine is dry, elegant and full-bodied, with red berry fruit and a subtle spicy note. The finish is characterized by leathery nuances and grippy, grainy tannins that give the wine depth and potential.All grapes were harvested by hand and cold macerated for 4 days after selection before fermentation began with selected yeast cultures. During fermentation, the wine was intensively pumped over and punched down to extract the color, tannin and aroma in the best possible way. After malolactic fermentation, the wine matured for 12 months in French oak, with new and multiple barriques providing a balanced wood aroma.The Raka Quinary is an ideal accompaniment to rack of lamb, fillet of beef, game dishes or mature hard cheese. On the nose, lively notes of strawberry and cherry unfold, delicately underscored by a hint of cotton candy. On the palate, the wine is dry, refreshingly crisp, and slightly tangy, with a fruity finish and well-integrated acidity.The cuvée consists of selected lots of Merlot, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc—each pressed at only 6–15% to extract the delicate rosé aromas while maintaining the balance between freshness and structure. The style is modern, dry, and fruit-forward, yet clear and uncomplicated with South African charm.All grapes were carefully hand-harvested and gently pressed immediately after sorting. The maceration period lasted about 4 hours to achieve the desired color intensity and aromatics. The juice was fermented with selected yeasts at a controlled temperature of about 16°C to optimally preserve freshness and fruitiness. Before bottling, the wine was naturally clarified by gravity and then gently filtered.Served well-chilled, this rosé pairs perfectly with light dishes: whether seafood, summer pasta, antipasti, or cold platters with ham and cheese—it’s incredibly versatile and also stands out on its own as an aperitif or sundowner.

Der Reyneke Organic Cornerstone ist ein Bio-Rotwein im Bordeaux Stil. Er stammt aus der malerischen Anbauregion Stellenbosch in Südafrika. Der Wein ist dem Projekt Cornerstone des Weingutes Reyneke gewidmet und der Erlös fließt in die Ausbildung und Weiterentwicklung der Mitarbeiterkinder. Im Glas zeigt sich der Reyneke Organic Cornerstone in einem tiefen Rubinrot mit violetten Reflexen. In der Nase präsentiert der Wein intensive Aromen von Cassis, Brombeeren, schwarzen Kirschen und Tabak, ergänzt durch subtile Anklänge von Muskatnuss und Sandelholz. Der Geschmack ist komplex und vielschichtig und zeigt reine Aromen von roten und dunklen Früchten sowie Noten von schwarzem Tee und Gewürzen. Der Reyneke Organic Cornerstone wird von eleganten Tanninen, einer ausgewogenen Fruchtkonzentration und einer hellen Säure unterstützt, die einen anhaltenden Abgang und ein beeindruckendes Alterungspotenzial gewährleisten.Diese Cuvee besteht aus Cabernet Franc Cabernet Sauvignon.
