Raka Spliced

The Raka Spliced is the perfect everyday wine that impresses with its fruity and balanced structure. The cuvée of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Viognier comes from the Klein River Valley wine-growing region in South Africa.

The bouquet is characterized by intense berry notes such as cherries, mulberries and blackberries, complemented by a fine olive note. On the palate, the wine has juicy plum fruit, lively cranberry acidity and subtle smoky oak flavors that lend it depth and complexity.

The grapes were harvested by hand and carefully sorted in the vineyard and in the cellar. After a second berry selection, the must was fermented with pure yeasts. During the five-day maceration, the juice was pumped over the skins several times a day and punched down by hand to extract the color, tannins and aromas in the best possible way. After fermentation, the wine was separated from the yeasts, underwent malolactic fermentation and then matured for 12 to 14 months in a combination of 225-liter French oak barriques, 25% of which were new barrels.

This versatile wine is an excellent accompaniment to grilled vegetables, pasta with tomato sauce, grilled poultry or spicy cheese variations. Enjoy it at a recommended drinking temperature of 16-18 °C.

Raka Sauvignon Blanc
The Raka Sauvignon Blanc impresses with its fresh fruit, lively acidity and clear aromas - a white wine full of character from the Western Cape in South Africa that brings pure joie de vivre to the glass. Made from 100% pure Sauvignon Blanc, it delights with its tropical nose, round mouthfeel and animating finish. Ideal for warm days, fresh dishes or as a soloist on the terrace. The nose alone makes you want more: peach, passion fruit, guava and gooseberries characterize the aromatic bouquet. On the palate, the wine is fruity and full-bodied, with a fine hint of citrus and a refreshing, clear finish that lingers for a wonderfully long time. The grapes for this wine were carefully harvested by hand, sorted and placed directly into the press, where they rested on their skins for 8 hours to extract their typical aromas in the best possible way. After pressing, the must was fermented at a controlled 16 °C with pure yeast cultures to preserve freshness and fruit. Extended ageing on the fine lees gives the wine additional volume. It then clarified naturally by gravity before being gently filtered and bottled.Raka Sauvignon Blanc is the ideal accompaniment to seafood, sushi, light fish dishes or cold cuts. It also cuts an excellent figure with summer salads or simply as an aperitif.Recommended drinking temperature: 8-10 °C

Steenberg Five Lives Red Blend
