The Stellenrust Secrets & Lies Chenin Blanc is an expressive white wine from South Africa that impressively underlines the versatility of the Chenin Blanc grape. The Stellenrust wine estate, located in the renowned Stellenbosch wine region, is known for its high-quality, terroir-driven wines.

The grapes for this Chenin Blanc come from vines that are over 40 years old and grow on granite soils. After harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed and the must is partly fermented in used French oak barrels. Maturation on the fine lees gives the wine creaminess and complexity while retaining its fresh fruit.

In the glass, the Stellenrust Secrets & Lies Chenin Blanc is a light golden yellow with slightly greenish reflections. The nose is characterized by intense aromas of ripe pears, yellow apple and quince, accompanied by fine floral and subtly spicy notes. On the palate, it is lively and juicy with a harmonious balance between freshness, fruitiness and a subtle mineral structure. The finish is long and elegant with a fine hint of honey and vanilla.

Stellenrust Corner Stone Pinotage

Der Stellenrust Cornerstone Pinotage stammt aus der sogenannten Super Premium Range des Weingutes und stellt somit die zweithöchste Stufe der Qualitätsebenen dar. Ein Wein dem viel Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt wird.Südafrika ist bekannt für seinen großen Anteil an Pinotage Weinen, da ist es eine Herausforderung einen besonders guten Pinotage zu vinifizieren. Dr. Tertius Boshoff, Winemaker und Besitzer von Stellenrust, legt deshalb extremen Wert auf die Auswahl der Trauben und deren Verarbeitung. Nach der händischen Ernte werden die Trauben ca. 36 Stunden gepresst und dann in Edelstahltanks vergoren. Die Reifung findet in französischen Eichenfässern über einen Zeitraum von ungefähr 20 Monaten statt.In der Nase zeigt der Stellenrust Cornerstone Pinotage ein Aroma von Blau,- und Himbeeren, dazu kommen Noten von reifem Pfirsich und schwarzer Kirsche. Am Gaumen ist der Wein saftig und mit vollem Körper, delikat und warm mit subtilen Eichentönen. Die stabile Säure macht den Abgang frisch und leicht süß-sauer.Dieser Rotwein eignet sich hervorragend als Essensbegleiter zu scharfer Küche, wie thailändischen Speisen mit viel Curry oder Chili con Carne.

Ein wunderbarer Sauvignon Blanc aus Südafrika vom Weingut Stellenrust. Hier spielt vieles zusammen, was dem Weißwein aus der Western Cape-Region seine außergewöhnliche Qualität verleiht.So stammen die Trauben für den Stellenrust Sauvignon Blanc von etwa 40 Jahre alten Buschreben. Darüber hinaus werden die Trauben in drei Durchgängen gelesen, abhängig vom Reifegrad. Ein Drittel wird bei 74° Oechsle gelesen. Diese Trauben verleihen dem Weißwein grünere, frischere Noten. Das zweite und dritte Drittel werden bei 82° bzw. 92° Oechsle gepflückt. Sie geben dem Sauvignon Blanc seine tropischen Aromen. Die drei Ernten werden separat fermentiert.Entsprechend bietet der Stellenrust Sauvignon Blanc ein tolles Bukett, das zugleich fruchtig und kräuterwürzig ist. Noten von Holunderblüte, aber auch von Ananas, Guave, Passionsfrucht und Grapefruit prägen das Bukett. Dazu knackig-grüne Aromen.Am Gaumen bietet der Sauvignon Blanc aus Südafrika eine knackige Säure, mit mineralischem Kern. Frisch, pikant und ausgewogen. Mit gutem Körper und guter Länge. Stellenrust Pinotage

Dieser Rotwein aus Südafrika hinterlässt bleibenden Eindruck. Würzig-fruchtige Noten von Maulbeeren, Brombeeren, Pflaumen und reifem Pfirsich prägen das Bukett des Stellenrust Pinotage. Dazu kommen ergänzende Noten von Karamell und Holzrauch, die den Duftstrauß perfekt abrunden.Am Gaumen ist der reinsortige Pinotage aus der Western Cape-Region körperreich, mit einer sanften Textur und zugleich einer guten Konzentration. On the estate's extremely stony quartz soils, the vines thrive in challenging conditions, giving the wine its characteristic pebbly, mineral expression. Every step in the vineyard reflects the meticulous handiwork of Springfield Estates: the planting of the older vines required monumental efforts, sometimes even the use of dynamite, to penetrate the hard rock.The vines are planted on a gently south-facing slope with 6060 vines per hectare. The climate is characterized by moderate summers with cool nights and cold winters, while the southeast wind in summer ensures healthy, aromatic grapes. These grapes are harvested at night and immediately protected with dry ice to preserve their freshness and fine aromas. Before bottling, only a 2.5-micron filtration is carried out - a gentle treatment that preserves the natural freshness and complexity of the wine.Intense minerality meets fresh citrus and green apple notes, which are typical of Sauvignon Blanc. On the palate, the white wine has a powerful, concentrated body, fine elegance and a long, lively finish.Perfect with grilled vegetables, goat's cheese, light pasta dishes with herb or lemon sauces and fresh salads.
