The Creation Estate Sauvignon Blanc shines lemon yellow with a green shimmer in the glass. This white wine from South Africa stands out above all due to its impressive minerality. The cool vineyards of Creation Wines, located on a plateau in the Hemel-en-Aarde valley not far from the Atlantic, promote this mineral note. Creation Estate Syrah Grenache 2022

Dunkelviolett, fast schwarz, fließt der Creation Estate Syrah Grenache ins Glas. Diese Komposition aus 75 Prozent Syrah (Shiraz) und 25 Prozent Grenache duftet verführerisch nach reifen schwarzen Oliven, Tapenade (Olivenpaste aus der südfranzösischen Küche, u.a. mit Oliven, Anchovis und Kapern), reifen Pflaumen und Umami (in etwa: herzhaft, würzig). Am Gaumen ist dieser Rotwein im Rhône-Stil voll und aromatisch tief. Die Tannine sind geschmeidig, dazu kommt eine überraschend frische Säure. Im Nachhall ist der typische Syrah-Pfeffer merklich. 14 Monate lange haben die Macherinnen und Macher von Creation Wines den Rotwein im Eichenholz ausgebaut. Sie nutzten dafür zu einem Viertel neue Fässer.

She awards a proud 4.5 stars (90 points) for this white wine from South Africa. The bouquet of this Viognier from the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley is enriched by subtle notes of nutmeg. On the palate, the Creation Estate Viognier is full and fruity, with a pleasantly soft mouthfeel, crisp minerality and beautifully integrated acidity.Jean-Claude and Carolyn Martin are behind Creation Wines. The success story of the winery in the Walker Bay region began in 2002. Creation Wines was the first winery to plant Viognier in the Hemel-en-Aarde valley, where the grapes ripen on the coolest, south-facing slopes. The slow ripening process ensures that the grapes gain aromas. At the same time, the fresh acidity is retained.Try this white wine, which is deliberately not matured in wood, at a drinking temperature of 10 to 12 degrees. Wenn es eine Region gibt, die im Besonderen für die Rebsorte Monastrell steht, ist es die Region Jumilla in südöstlichen Spanien, westlich von Alicante und nördlich von Murcia. Der 100% Monastrell spiegelt wunderbar authentisch den Charakter dieser Region und des Terriors wider. Die Reben kommen ohne künstliche Bewässerung aus, was hochwertige Trauben hervorbringt, aber die Menge geringhält. Curatolo Arini Paccamora Catarratto IGP 2023

Die Catarratto Trauben für den Curatolo Arini Paccamora Catarratto IGP stammen aus ausgewählten Weinbergen gelegen im Westen Siziliens. Die Weinberge sind durch sandige, lehmige Böden gekennzeichnet und liegen 300 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel. Hier werden die Reben Richtung Osten gepflanzt, so dass die Trauben sich durch den Einfluss der morgentlichen Sonne und des kühlenden Windes zu reich aromatischen Früchten entwickeln können.Nach dem Entrappen und einer folgenden 12 stündigen Kaltmazeration werden die Trauben sanft gepresst und 10 bis 12 Tage lang bei kontrollierter Temperatur von 16 bis 18°C in Edelstahltanks vergoren.Der italienische Weißwein zeigt sich in einem Zitronengelb im Glas und schimmert grünlich. Aromen exotischer Früchte, weißer Blüten und Kräutern der Provence umschmeicheln die Nase. Geschmacklich ist der Paccamora ein eleganter Wein ausgezeichnet mit einer frischen Mineralität und Noten von Steinobst wie Nektarine und Pfirsich.

Curatolo Arini Paccamora Nero d'Avola IGP 2022

Das italienische Weingut Curatolo Arini, das in Marsala seinen Sitz hat, nutzt seinen Weinberg in Favara San Cataldo um die Rebsorte Nero d'Avola anzubauen. Der Weinberg liegt etwa 500 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel und ist nach Süden ausgerichtet. Sein Boden besteht aus Lehm und Sand. Die Nero d'Avola Traube, von Einheimischen auch "Principe Siciliano" (sizilianischer Fürst) genannt, ist die bedeutenste Rebsorte Siziliens. Aus dieser Frucht ensteht der Curatolo Arini Paccamora Nero d'Avola. IGP.Nach dem Abbeeren und einer 6-tägigen Mazeration werden die Trauben sanft gepresst und bei kontrollierter Temperatur in Edelstahltanks vergoren. Der Wein reift noch einige Monate in Edelstahltanks, bevor er in Flaschen abgefüllt wird.Der italienische Rotwein ist Rubinrot und schimmert violett. Die Nase wird überwältigt mit Aromen von Veilchen, Kirschen, Pflaumen und weißem Pfeffer. Für einen vollen und runden Geschmack sorgen rote Früchte wie Kirschen und Beeren. Die gekonnt eingebundenen Tannine sind herrlich weich.
