If there is one region in particular that stands for the Monastrell grape variety, it is the Jumilla region in south-eastern Spain, west of Alicante and north of Murcia. The vines for the red wine Creencia con Actitud, literally translated as "faith with attitude", grow here at around 900 meters above sea level. The 100% Monastrell reflects the character of this region and the terroir in a wonderfully authentic way. The vines are grown without artificial irrigation, which produces high-quality grapes but keeps the quantity low. This is partly due to the age of the vines, which have been in service for more than 45 years.

The Creencia con Actitud has a deep dark red color. The dry red wine has an intense aroma of ripe black fruit and delicate wood notes. This is accompanied by notes of roasted almonds, toasted bread and a hint of cigar box. The palate is enveloped by ripe, velvety tannins. A wine that is full-bodied and fresh at the same time, elegant and balanced despite its weight. Complemented by a fine minerality, the long finish brings out notes of licorice and aromatic herbs.

Try Creencia con Actitud with hearty meat dishes or spicy Indian cuisine. Also a delight on its own on a cold winter evening.
