The Crozes-Hermitage appellation is located in the northern part of the Rhone valley. All red wines produced in this appellation are based on the Shiraz grape variety, the only red variety authorised here.The Vidal-Fleury Crozes-Hermitage is a dark red in colour. Its bouquet is redolent of black currants, violets and plums, complemented by notes of pepper and roast aromas. The soil of the vineyards in the Crozes-Hermitage area consists mainly of granite, giving the wine its lovely minerality. This red wine is soft and fresh on the palate, showing lots of black fruit. The finish is round and long-lasting.
