The southern Italian region of Puglia is home to the powerful, full-bodied Primitivo wines.
The Vigne Vecchie Leggenda Primitivo di Manduria DOP is made from hand-harvested grapes. The vines are attributed to an age of more than seventy years.

The wine has an intense ruby red color. On the nose, complex flavors of plum and cherry with a hint of tobacco. Typical of Primitivo is the pleasant subtle spice. The Vigne Vecchie Primitivo di Manduria has a full-bodied, soft character and offers notes of cocoa, coffee and vanilla. The Italian red wine is also full-bodied with soft tannins.

Production area: Selected vineyards of Neviera and Casa Rossa, located in San Marzano district. The soil is mainly “terra rossa”, with a fine texture and generally a calcareous undergound with a few emerging rocks. The well-known redness of these soils is due to the presence of iron oxides.
