The Trapiche Terroir Series Chardonnay Finca El Tomillo comes from the renowned Valle de Uco in Mendoza, one of the best wine regions in Argentina.Top wines are produced at extreme altitudes in Argentina's Valle de Uco. The Trapiche winery, which has not been deterred by the altitude, was founded back in 1883. Today, the estate owns around 1000 hectares of vineyards. Trapiche works with more than 300 winegrowers from the surrounding area to offer wine from the best terroirs in the Mendoza region. This includes the Trapiche Terroir Series Chardonnay Finca El Tomillo. The El Tomillo vineyard is located in Gualtallary in Uco Valley at an altitude of 1350 meters. The soil is sandy with a high calcium carbonate content and lots of pebbles.After the hand harvest, the grapes are selected, destemmed and selected again. The grape juice produced during the subsequent pressing at 10°C begins to ferment. First at a controlled temperature of 10°C, then at 15°C. Wild yeasts are used for the fermentation, which takes place in 30 hl concrete vats. To make the dry white wine creamier and preserve its freshness, only part of it undergoes malolactic fermentation. The Trapiche Single Vineyard Chardonnay Finca El Tomillo then matures for a further 9 months in large French oak barrels (30 hl) and in concrete barrels (10 hl).This individual and expressive Chardonnay has a light, golden yellow color. Aromas of lemon, pear and flint play around the nose. A refreshing, elegant, mineral white wine with fine acidity and pronounced spicy notes surprises you on the palate. A slightly salty aftertaste follows.

The Uggiano Governo all'uso Toscano IGT is a creation of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Canaiolo. It is produced using the traditional Tuscan Governo method. This involves adding a must made from grapes that have dried up like raisins to the young wine. In the case of Uggiano Governo all'uso Toscano, the grapes harvested first were dried on mats in the sun before the must was added. These grapes make up 10 to 15 % of the harvest. "Ancient technology with a modern twist," writes US wine critic James Suckling, who awards this red wine from Tuscany 92 points.The deep red wine has a captivating aroma of red and darker fruits (plums, cherries and blackberries) with a pleasant spiciness. Dry and full-bodied on the palate, wonderfully round and soft, with a subtle, invigorating acidity and supple tannins. A very subtle residual sweetness and a fine spiciness round off the taste experience.This accessible Italian red wine was matured in stainless steel tanks. Enjoy the Uggiano Governo all'uso Toscano IGT at a drinking temperature of 16 to 18 degrees. Since the mid-1970s, the Azienda Uggiano, located just over 20 kilometers southwest of Florence, has been composing wonderful Italian red wines that offer remarkable value for money. The Uggiano Roccialta Chianti Classico is a fine example of the winemakers' art of viticulture from Tuscany.The ruby red blend of Sangiovese and Canaiolo (an old, indigenous Tuscan grape variety) has a stimulating aroma of cherry and raspberry, with floral nuances of lilac, violet and rose. A fine spiciness (thyme) and subliminal notes of vanilla from the ageing in wood round off the bouquet.On the palate, the Chianti Classico is dry and wonderfully harmonious, with distinctive, wonderfully integrated tannins. The density of aromas is impressive (cherry, raspberry and thyme, with earthy undertones). The red wine from Tuscany is pleasantly soft and lingers for a long time.The Uggiano Roccialta Chianti Classico matures for six to eight months in large oak barrels. After ageing in stainless steel tanks, it was refined in the bottle for at least six months.Enjoy this Chianti at a drinking temperature of 16 to 18 degrees.
