The Uggiano Roccialta Chianti Classico Riserva matures for 14 months in large oak barrels, followed by at least 12 months in the bottle. This ruby red wine from Tuscany (with a garnet hue) is accessible and at the same time has a beautiful complexity and depth. Just the right companion for a few carefree hours.

Notes of red berries, preserved cherries, figs and plums characterize the multi-faceted bouquet. They are complemented by subliminal floral notes of violets and very harmonious tones from the wood maturation: vanilla, roasted wood, cigar box. A beautiful pepper spice rounds off the bouquet of the Uggiano Roccialta Chianti Classico Riserva.

On the palate, this red wine from Tuscany is dry and masterfully balanced. The noticeable tannins are very well integrated, with a beautiful interplay of aromas, especially the aromas of ripe plums. The finish lingers on.

This Italian red wine is a blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Canaiolo (an old, indigenous grape variety from Tuscany). Enjoy the Chianti Classico Riserva at a drinking temperature of 16 to 18 degrees. This involves adding a must made from grapes that have dried up like raisins to the young wine. In the case of Uggiano Governo all'uso Toscano, the grapes harvested first were dried on mats in the sun before the must was added. These grapes make up 10 to 15 % of the harvest. The Uggiano Roccialta Chianti Classico is a fine example of the winemakers' art of viticulture from Tuscany.The ruby red blend of Sangiovese and Canaiolo (an old, indigenous Tuscan grape variety) has a stimulating aroma of cherry and raspberry, with floral nuances of lilac, violet and rose. A fine spiciness (thyme) and subliminal notes of vanilla from the ageing in wood round off the bouquet.On the palate, the Chianti Classico is dry and wonderfully harmonious, with distinctive, wonderfully integrated tannins. The density of aromas is impressive (cherry, raspberry and thyme, with earthy undertones). The red wine from Tuscany is pleasantly soft and lingers for a long time.The Uggiano Roccialta Chianti Classico matures for six to eight months in large oak barrels.
