Das Finale klingt noch außergewöhnlich lange nach. Die Trauben für diesen Cabernet Sauvignon aus Sizilien stammen von einem einzigen Weinberg im oberen Teil der Lage San Francesco in 570 Metern Höhe. The Telmo Rodriguez Dehesa Gago DO is a single-varietal Tinta de Toro - a local variant of the Tempranillo grape variety - and an authentic expression of the terroir of the Toro region. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and six months of ageing in stainless steel tanks preserve the pure fruit and freshness of the wine, which is deliberately not aged in wood.The nose reveals an enticing bouquet of fresh cherries, blackberries and fine chocolate notes, complemented by a pleasant spiciness. The Telmo Rodriguez Gaba do Xil O Barreiro smells of white flowers, dried light fruits, spices, almonds and honey. On the palate, the white wine is fresh and accessible, with subliminally noticeable tannins and a fine minerality. The Godello, an indigenous Galician grape variety, gives this wine its special characteristics. The name of the white wine is inspired by the river Sil, which flows through the region and was called Xil in ancient times. Enjoy this white wine from Spain with white meat dishes.
