The wine from the Central Coast region shines brightly golden, with a greenish tinge. On the seductive exotic, with notes of pineapple, peach and citrus fruits, wonderfully complemented by subtle notes of vanilla, toast and caramel.

On the palate, powerful and supple, balanced and remarkably juicy. The full-bodied wine has a long finish.

The wine matured in oak barrels. It consists of 96% Chardonnay. Enjoy with poultry, fish or seafood. Also to fresh pasta or mature, medium strong cheeses a real taste experience.

Der strohgelbe Chardonnay aus Chile ist klassisch und elegant. Die Trauben für diesen reinsortigen Chardonnay werden direkt nach der Lese gepresst und in französische Eichenfässer, von denen 30% neu sind, gefüllt. Die Gärung erfolgt teils als natürliche und teils als malolaktische Gärung. Durch die 13 monatige Reifung im Barrique erhält der Antu Chardonnay seine besonderen Noten von Vanille, Ananas, reifen Pfirsichen und einen Hauch von Birne. Am Gaumen ist der Antu Chardonnay cremig mit einem mittleren Körper und einer frischen Säure.

The Bodegas Salentein estate, located in the Uco Valley near Mendoza in Argentina, is one of the most renowned wineries in South America. Both the building itself with its underground cellar in the shape of a cross and the range of wines offered by the winery are impressive. The Salentein Barrel Selection Chardonnay is a pure varietal Chardonnay that matured for 6 months in American oak casks before it was bottled. It is a straw yellow in the glass. The wonderfully rich bouquet offers aromas of pears, apples, cloves, lime blossoms and tropical fruit such as honeydew melon and limes. On the palate, the wine is soft and ingratiatingly full-bodied, with a lovely melt. The subtle hints of tropical fruit are underpinned by discreet notes of oak. The opulent Chardonnay is well-balanced, showing a lovely acidity.Its long finish is soft, elegant and silky. We recommend enjoying the Salentein Barrel Selection Chardonnay on its own as an aperitif but also to accompany a good meal. It goes perfectly with crustaceans, salmon, pasta, poultry, veal and young cheeses.
