Wente Vineyards Chardonnay stands for the finest creations from the Livermore Valley near the San Francisco Bay. The morning coastal fog pushed by the Pacific winds to the vineyards of the traditional winery, lets mature the Chardonnay grapes very consistently. So wonderfully balanced wines develop with a beautiful minerality and acidity.

The Wente Morning Fog Chardonnay is a blend of Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer. On the nose it offers invigorating aromas of apples and tropical fruits, which are wonderfully complemented by flavors of vanilla and toast. On the palate, full-bodied and with nice acidity.

The fresh, crisp white wine was aged for five months to 50% in American oak and to 50% in stainless steel tanks to emphasize the natural fruit flavors. Enjoy this wine from Wente. The winery was founded in 1883 and has developed an international name among others by its Chardonnay wines.

Der Wente Louis Mel Sauvignon Blanc, benannt nach dem französischen Einwanderer Louis Mel, ist ein frischer, fruchtiger Weißwein. Die Sauvignon Blanc Setzlinge hat Louis Mel 1870 aus Frankreich vom Chateau d'Yquem mitgebracht und in seinen Weinbergen im südlichen Livermore-Valley (USA) wo die Schotter- und Lehmböden, dem Terroir des heimatlichen Bordeaux ähneln, angepflanzt.Die Trauben von den Nachkommen dieser Reben werden bei Sonnenaufgang geerntet, leicht gepresst und kaltgestellt. Anschließend werden sie in Edelstahltanks einer Kaltgärung unterzogen.Der Wente Louis Mel Sauvignon Blanc begrüßt mit frischen Aromen von Feuerstein und Guaven. Ausbalanciert wird er durch Noten von Mandarine uund Limettenschale. Dieser Weißwein hat eine schöne und magere Mineralität, eine helle Säure und einen langanhaltenden Abgang.Der Sauvignon Blanc ist vielseitiger Begleiter. Wente Riverbank Riesling

Ein Riesling aus Kalifornien. Das ist ungewöhnlich aber nicht unmöglich wie der Wente Riverbank Riesling aus den Weinbergen in Arroyo Seco Monterey beweist. Er hat die von Natur aus schönen, blumigen und tropischen Noten eines Rieslings ist stilistisch aber voller als man es von deutschen Rieslingen kennt. In der Nase zeigt er Aromen von frischem Jasmin, Mandarinen und etwas Birne. Am Gaumen hat er eine gute Balance zwischen leichter Süße und ausreichender Säure. Der Wein wird kaltgepresst in Edelstahltanks vergoren, um die natürlichen Aromen von tropischen Blumen zu erhalten. Danach reift er für sieben Monate in Edelstahltanks.

Wente Sandstone Merlot

The fruit for Sandstone Merlot comes from a gently sloping formation of hills running along the southeastern corner of the famous Livermore Valley. The Wente family’s hillside Merlot vineyards deliver fully ripened fruit with exceptional depth of character.With a smooth mouthfeel and inviting tannins, this Merlot exhibits flavors of strawberry, cherry, blackberryand fig with hints of toast, brown sugar and spice, with a long luscious finish.Each varietal was harvested separately and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine was pumped over twice daily to increases the color and tannin extractions and improves mouthfeel through the integration of oxygen. Aged for 20 months in French and American neutral oak.Enjoy this wine for grilling, with a chicken menu or with cheese.

Der Hess Select Chardonnay kommt aus dem Monterey Valley in den USA.
