A feast for the senses: Robert Mondavi Napa Valley Chardonnay offers clear, enticing fruity aromas of crisp apple, pear, ripe melon and fresh quince. These notes are finely intertwined with aromas of creme brulee, a beautiful minerality and hints of hazelnut and clove. The palate is pleasantly creamy, beautifully balanced with a refreshing acidity.

75% of the wine aged in French oak barrels (15% new oak). The palate, therefore, reveals a round, supple feeling of fullness. Also the persistent finish is full-bodied and elegant.

This high-quality Chardonnay from the Napa Valley is redolent of vanilla, caramel and honeydew melon, along with nuances of freshly baked apple pie. This white wine comes from coastal vineyards. It is very soft on the palate, with a balanced acidity and a rather creamy finish. The interplay of aromas recalls marshmallows roasted over a campfire.The Napa Cellars Chardonnay comes from vineyards located in the southern Napa Valley and Carneros that provide ideal conditions for the Chardonnay grapes. The fogs and cool winds from the San Francisco Bay and Marin allow the grapes to ripen longer, thus developing their special depth of aroma and crisp acidity. This white wine matured for eight months in oak casks, of which more than 90 per cent were French barrels (Almost 25% of them were new barrels.). Try the Napa Cellars Chardonnay with French soft cheeses with honey. It also goes beautifully with panna cotta with fresh berries. This wine is a genuine taste experience from California.

Colour:Pale gold. Aroma:An intense and complex nose with aromas of white peach, honeysuckle and subtle savoury and bacon oak notes. Palate:A deliciously full-bodied and rich wine with complex stone fruit flavours and a touch of spice supported by underlying savoury oak notes and subtle yeast autolysis characters. The palate is elegant and full with firm acidity and a lingering finish. Ageing potential:Perfect for drinking immediately this Chardonnay will age well in the bottle with careful cellaring up for to four years from vintage date.Winemaking:The fruit was carefully hand-picked and whole bunch pressed to ensure the vineyard characteristics and fruit flavours were preserved. Wine was barrel fermented in 100 per cent American oak (50 per cent new oak barrels, 25 per cent second fill, 25 per cent third fill). Selected yeast strains were used for fermentation. The wine then went through malolactic fermentation followed by 10 months ageing on yeast lees, with regular stirring. Only the best barrels from each batch were selected to use in the final blend.
