Das Weingut „Bodegas El Meson“ liegt im spanischen Weinanbaugebiet La Rioja Alavesa und gehört zur baskischen Provinz Álava. Die Weinberge erstrecken sich von der Sierra Tolona Cantabria bis hin zum Fluss Ebro. Die Böden sind lehm- und kalkhaltig und es herrscht ein Klima, das geprägt ist durch frische Höhenluft und intensive Sonneneinstrahlung. Diese Bedingungen machen die Region Rioja Alavesa zu einem hervorragendem Weinbaugebiet.

Das Weingut El Meson ist ein traditioneller Weinanbaubetrieb. Die Rotweine werden ausschließlich aus der Rebsorte Tempranillo gekeltert. Die weithin bekannte hervorragende Qualität der Weine entsteht auch nach der Reifung in amerikanischem oder französischem Eichenholzfässern,von denen EL Meson 10.000 besitzt.

Allegranza Tempranillo is a wine made from 100% Tempranillo grapes from the La Mancha region. This Spanish region is known for its optimal ripeness and uniformity in quality. The wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks and then matured for approx. 3 months in French oak barrels.The Allegranza Tempranillo has a ruby red color and is reminiscent of aromas of dark cherries and blackberry jam on the nose. There are also notes of exotic herbs and eucalyptus. It is wonderfully smooth and medium-bodied on the palate. A beautiful vanilla note and the taste of delicate milk chocolate pamper the palate.This red wine is an excellent accompaniment to tapas, grilled meat, lamb chops or an aromatic paella with chorizo. Der Cano Tempranillo Garnacha bereitet als „every day“ Wein viel Freude. Im Glas leuchtet der Wein dunkelrot mit violetten Schattierungen. Er schmeckt nach Maulbeere, Himbeere und Kirsche. Am Gaumen ist der Wein vom Weingut Pagos del Rey wunderbar fruchtig und voll. Im Abgang lang und mit Noten von Waldbeeren.Auch als Essensbegleiter macht der trockene Rotwein eine gute Figur. Barón de Ley Reserva Is made from grapes coming from our own vineyards in Mendavia (Rioja Baja). The climate in this part of Rioja, with clear Mediterranean influence, provides excellent maturations which, combined with a low yield viticulture (5.000 kgrs/Ha. aproximately), result in modern Riojas with a “mediterranean soul”; wines with combine remarkable power with the elegance and harmony that have always been characteristic of the Rioja wines. The wine was aged for 20 months in new american oak casks, and afterwards 24 months in bottle until arriving to its ideal moment for enjoyment. This wine has not been submitted to filterings or artificial stabilizations, which might result in the appearance of natural sediments in the bottle.With an attractive red ruby coulour with medium-high intensity, in the nose it suprises for a powerful fruit remarkably blended with traces from its noble ageing: coconut and toffee, evolving into seductive nuances of spices and mediterranean bush. The attack is truly powerful and develops in the mouth a pleasant sensation of volume and onctuosity with drives us to a long finish, nervous and fresh due to its optimum acidity, and bringing back an aftertaste with red fruits and again mediterranean bushes.
