Waterford Antigo Red Blend

The Waterford Antigo Red Blend is an artfully composed cuvée from the prestigious Waterford Estate in Stellenbosch. The name "Antigo" refers to the color of the region's iron-rich soils, which give the wine a special minerality and depth. This red wine cuvée impresses with a harmonious balance of fruit, spice and fine structure.
The wine matured for 20 months in French oak barrels, which gives it additional complexity, fine roasted aromas and an elegant tannin structure.

In the glass, the Waterford Antigo Red Blend presents itself in a deep garnet red. The nose is dominated by aromas of ripe dark berries, juicy plums and cassis, accompanied by fine notes of black pepper, cedar wood and a hint of chocolate. On the palate, it is complex and balanced, with smooth and slightly sweet tannins, a lively acidity and a long, elegant finish.

The Waterford Antigo Red Blend harmonizes perfectly with grilled meat, lamb stew or hearty braised dishes.
