Delheim Cabernet Sauvignon

Kleine Zalze Cellar Selection Cabernet Sauvignon
The Kleine Zalze Cellar Cabernet Sauvignon matured for 13 months in barriques. Due to this longer ageing in wooden casks, the wine shows a wonderfully multi-layered bouquet offering notes of ripe dark fruit (black currants), liquorice, leather, graphite and fine roast aromas which unite in intense interaction. This pure varietal Cabernet Sauvignon from the Coastal region is full-bodied and concentrated on the palate, with a great balance, noticeable but very well-integrated tannins and a prolonged finish.Enjoy this powerful Cabernet Sauvignon from South Africa with grilled meat, salami or dishes with smoked ham.

Anthonij Rupert Protea Cabernet Sauvignon
The Protea Cabernet Sauvignon from Anthonij Rupert Wines is an excellent example of South African wine quality at a fair price. The grapes come from the Groenekloof region in the Darling wine-growing area. Here the days are warm and the nights cool, so there is a big difference in temperature. This fact and the deep red soil with decomposed granite give the wine a unique blend of dark and red fruit aromas. The red wine is wonderfully concentrated, soft with a juicy tannin structure. On the palate, the Anthonij Rupert Protea Cabernet Sauvignon is round, soft, light and well-balanced. Fruit aromas of plum, dark berries and cherries are clearly perceptible, complemented by a delicate spicy note. The fruit notes combine wonderfully with the oak notes and end in a long, harmonious finish.Wonderful to drink solo at the end of the day. It pairs beautifully with anything that is not too hearty in taste.

Delheim Merlot
The Delheim Merlot grapes come from vines up to 20 years old from a vineyard called Peperboom Vineyard. The Peperboom, which means pepper tree or pepper bush, was originally planted here. The grapes were harvested in two stages in order to achieve the maximum concentration of tannins and color. Fermentation was carried out in stainless steel tanks using selected yeast strains. The temperature during the fermentation process was between 25 and 28 degrees Celsius. The juice was then stored on the skins for a further 18 days and then matured for 12 months in French oak barrels.Notes of tobacco, red fruits with cloves and cinnamon are clearly recognizable on the nose. The Delheim Merlot is an elegant wine with a subtle structure and silky tannins. Full-bodied on the palate with an unusual freshness reminiscent of blueberry and plum flavors.Ageing in the bottle for 3 to 4 years allows the wine to reach optimum maturity.
