Ein wunderbarer Rosé aus Südafrika, den die Macherinnen und Macher von Waterford Estate aus den Rebsorten Shiraz (Syrah), Mourvèdre, Malbec, Cinsaut, Tempranillo und Sangiovese assembliert haben. Der im traditionellen „Blanc De Noir”-Stil hergestellte Waterford Estate Rose-Mary leuchtet rosafarben im Glas.

Das Bouquet des Roséweins ist anregend komplex. Er duftet belebend frisch nach Noten von Aprikosen und Kirschen, die wunderbar harmonieren mit floralen Noten von weißen Blumen und Zitronenblüten.  Hinzu kommen unterschwellige Nuancen von Oregano. 

Am Gaumen ist der südafrikanische Blanc De Noir trocken und eindrucksvoll fruchtig-aromatisch. Aromen von Orangen, Aprikosen und Nektarinen im harmonischen Zusammenspiel. Mit feiner Säure, angenehmer Mineralität und einer sanften Textur. Das Finale ist knackig-frisch und hallt länger nach.

An outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon from South Africa: the Waterford Estate winery was founded in 1998 and has quickly gained an international reputation with its red and white wines from the Blaauwklippen Valley in the Stellenbosch region. Creations such as the Waterford Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 will further cement this reputation.The Waterford Estate Cabernet Sauvignon has a seductive aroma of cassis, cedar wood, mocha and new oak.On the palate, Waterford Cabernet Sauvignon is dry, complex and impressively elegant. With a medium to full body, supple tannins and energetic acidity. "The wine closes with classic Cabernet expressions of blackberry skin, vanilla and a hint of sage on the long, lingering finish," writes Mueller. Perfect balance. the Cabernet Sauvignon from the Blaauwklippen Valley matured for 18 months in French oak barrels. Around a third of the barrels were new. With its earthy tones, this spicy red wine is an ideal accompaniment to high-quality dark meat, for example beef baked in a salt crust.

He has also managed to create a Shiraz in the Blaauwklippen Valley in not too long a time (Waterford Estate was founded in 1998) that plays in the international premier league.The bouquet of the Waterford Estate Kevin Arnold Shiraz combines multi-layered notes of dark plums with intense floral notes of violets. Nuances of licorice and leather as well as subtle earthy tones and a fine spiciness round off the bouquet.On the palate, this South African red wine is dry and engaging, with well-structured, velvety-soft tannins. (The second vineyard was planted in 1978) A fascinating aromatic concentration characterizes this white wine from the Stellenbosch region. If you like: With age, you learn more and more to concentrate on the things that matter.Intense fruity notes of pear, grapefruit and peach characterize the bouquet. Harmonious notes of honey and floral tones complete the bouquet.
