A wonderful rosé from South Africa, blended by the winemakers at Waterford Estate from the Shiraz (Syrah), Mourvèdre, Malbec, Cinsaut, Tempranillo, and Sangiovese grape varieties. Produced in the traditional “Blanc de Noir” style, Waterford Estate Rose-Mary glows a vibrant pink in the glass.

The rosé’s bouquet is delightfully complex. It offers an invigoratingly fresh aroma with notes of apricots and cherries that harmonize beautifully with floral notes of white flowers and lemon blossoms, complemented by subtle hints of oregano.

On the palate, this South African Blanc de Noir is dry and impressively fruity and aromatic. Aromas of oranges, apricots, and nectarines interplay harmoniously. It features fine acidity, pleasant minerality, and a smooth texture. The finish is crisp and fresh, with a lingering aftertaste.

Waterford Estate gehört zu den renommiertesten Weingütern Südafrikas und liegt im malerischen Blaauwklippen Valley am Fuße des Helderberg in der Weinregion Stellenbosch. Das Weingut wurde 1998 von der Familie Ord gegründet und verbindet europäische Weinbautradition mit der Einzigartigkeit des südafrikanischen Terroirs. Der Name „Waterford“ entstand aus der Kombination des Familiennamens Ord und der Wasserfälle („Waterfalls“) auf dem Anwesen.

Creations such as the Waterford Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 will further cement this reputation.The Waterford Estate Cabernet Sauvignon has a seductive aroma of cassis, cedar wood, mocha and new oak.On the palate, Waterford Cabernet Sauvignon is dry, complex and impressively elegant. With a medium to full body, supple tannins and energetic acidity. "The wine closes with classic Cabernet expressions of blackberry skin, vanilla and a hint of sage on the long, lingering finish," writes Mueller.
