Am Gaumen ist der reinsortige Grenache Noir aus der Stellenbosch-Region trocken und wundervoll frisch, mit einer einnehmenden aromatischen Vielschichtigkeit. Aromen von roten Kirschen, einer delikaten Tomatenreduktion sowie erdige Töne im perfekten Zusammenspiel. Die samtigen Tannine sind meisterhaft eingebunden.

Ihre Worte: „Charakteristisch süß gewürzte Beeren, poliertes Leder und Tabaknoten im Jahr 2020, aus einer 18 Jahre alten Einzellage. Halb natürlich vergoren & 30% im Porzellankrug gereift, der Rest in 500L alter Eiche. Lässt Fruchtsüße strahlen, täuscht über knochentrockene 1g/l Zucker hinweg. An outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon from South Africa: the Waterford Estate winery was founded in 1998 and has quickly gained an international reputation with its red and white wines from the Blaauwklippen Valley in the Stellenbosch region. Creations such as the Waterford Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 will further cement this reputation.The Waterford Estate Cabernet Sauvignon has a seductive aroma of cassis, cedar wood, mocha and new oak.On the palate, Waterford Cabernet Sauvignon is dry, complex and impressively elegant. With a medium to full body, supple tannins and energetic acidity. "The wine closes with classic Cabernet expressions of blackberry skin, vanilla and a hint of sage on the long, lingering finish," writes Mueller. Perfect balance. the Cabernet Sauvignon from the Blaauwklippen Valley matured for 18 months in French oak barrels. Around a third of the barrels were new. With its earthy tones, this spicy red wine is an ideal accompaniment to high-quality dark meat, for example beef baked in a salt crust.

Some of the grapes used in this white wine come from vines that were planted in 1966, more than 50 years ago. (The second vineyard was planted in 1978) A fascinating aromatic concentration characterizes this white wine from the Stellenbosch region. If you like: With age, you learn more and more to concentrate on the things that matter.Intense fruity notes of pear, grapefruit and peach characterize the bouquet. Harmonious notes of honey and floral tones complete the bouquet. On the palate, the Waterford Old Vine Chenin Blanc is dry, complex and pleasantly soft, with a stimulating minerality and aromatic depth.
