The grapes come from various sites in the region and bring the typical combination of freshness and ripe fruit to the glass for which South African Chardonnay is prized.Lively citrus notes dominate the nose, reminiscent of orange peel and a hint of lemon blossom. There are also hints of stone fruit and subtle nuances of vanilla and toffee, which give the white wine a pleasant aromatic depth. The Amarula Cream is a liqueur made from the marula fruit, which grow on the eponymous wild tree (Sclerocarya birrea) in southern Africa. The ripe fruit are picked and the seeds and the pulp are removed. The skin is not processed. As in winemaking, the resulting mass is fermented. Subsequently, the liquid is distilled. The brandy matures for two years in French oak casks, giving it notes of toasted wood and vanilla.
