Zenato

Product recommendation

Biscardo Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG
This top wine from Veneto has an intense, garnet red color. The grape varieties Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara, which are characteristic of the region, give the wine its unique taste. Intense and persistent cherry aromas on the nose. On the palate, it is velvety, slightly bitter and reminiscent of cherry and bitter almonds. Incidentally, the Italian "amaro" means bitter. The grapes ripen on the hills of the small villages around Verona at an altitude of 150 to 400 meters above sea level. They are harvested by hand, usually at dawn or in the evening. This prevents the harvested grapes from being exposed to excessive heat and losing freshness. The quality of the grape skin is particularly important for Amarone, as it determines the tannins, color and flavor intensity. Incidentally, legend has it that a cellar worker in the 1930s actually wanted to create Recioto, but forgot the wine in the barrels. Fermentation continued and the sugar was converted into alcohol - which also explains the bitterness.Mabi's Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is an excellent accompaniment to red meat and game.

Zenato Riserva Amarone della Valpolicella Classico
Magistral smell and taste sensation!Amarone has an impressive elegance in the center and an inviting bouquet of ripe fruit. Deep ruby red with hints of fine herbs. On the palate, the powerful, warm and rich flavorinfluences, including wild cherries and chocolate, very impressive.Excellent for a lifetime ...The absolute 'king' of this region, made from only the best grapes of exceptionally good harvests. Hand picked and selected and the grapes are let to dry out for several months with the result that much of the moisture in the grapes evaporates allowing the grapes to be very rich in sugars. The best and ripest Corvina grapes supplemented with a little Rondinella and Sangiovese. After fermentation the wine is matured in Slavonian oak casks for four years and then another 12 months in bottle.

Santa Cristina Cabernet Sauvignon DOC
Cherry red colour with very lively lights in the glass and garnet veins. In the nose there is a strong varietal grassy note that pleasantly recalls a Bordeaux nose. On the palate there is agreeable sweetness very well integrated with notes of sage and green bell pepper, good tannic concentration with spicy nuances. Gastronomical combinations: the ideal match are game, grilled meat and mature cheeses.

Zenato Valpolicella Superiore 0,375 l (Halbflasche)
The Zenato Valpolicella is somewhat similar to the Bardolino; however, the Valpolicella is a little more powerful and shows a fuller body – it is simply of better quality. The wine consists of Corvina Veronese (responsible for the bouquet and the acidity), Rondinella (lots of sugar) and Sangiovese (gives the wine its elegance). This is a wine that can be enjoyed young, but another few years of ageing in the wine cellar will further enhance its qualities. For years, Valpolicella has been one of Italy’s most famous wines. Unfortunately, one can find many Valpolicella wines of poor quality on the market but fortunately, we don’t have to worry about this as far as Zenato wines are concerned, as Zenato produces only high-quality wines.

Zenato Ripassa della Valpolicella
The Zenato Ripassa della Valpolicella from Zenato is a carefully composed product that convincingly combines the best characteristics of the Valpolicella wines of Veneto. A second fermentation of the batches from Valpolicella and six months of ageing in the bottle give the wine a very intense, long character. The deep red, velvety color alone gives an idea of the broad tableau with which this wine will impress. And the Ripassa does not disappoint. Complex berry aromas delight the nose and palate. The extremely long finish lingers gently on the tongue and is one of the strongest characteristics of this wine from Italy. The Ripassa della Valpolicella has brought the Zinato winery to the attention of wine connoisseurs who like to experiment. We recommend a drinking temperature of 18°C. Strong game and red meat are the best aromatic counterweights for this wine.

San Marzano Sessantanni Primitivo di Manduria DOP
Whether it is the dark color or the concentrated taste, the San Marzano Sessantanni Primitivo di Manduria is intense. It is almost black in the glass with ruby red reflections. This red wine is made from a single variety of the Primitivo grape. The 60-year-old vines of Cantine San Marzano grow on limestone rocks in Apulia. The high sun and the cool Scirocco ensure that the grapes thrive. The bouquet beguiles with aromas of blueberries, cherries, blackberries and plums as well as notes of cedar wood, mocha, nougat, tobacco and a hint of aniseed. It is full and soft on the palate, with hints of black cherry. This intense taste experience leads to a lingering finish. For optimum enjoyment, serve this semi-dry red wine at a drinking temperature of 18 °C. It harmonizes wonderfully with game such as saddle of venison or venison steak. It is also a tasty accompaniment to fruity stuffed duck or a terrine. Also available as a 1.5l magnum bottle.
