Argiolas Iselis Nasco di Cagliari DOC

The Argiolas Iselis Nasco di Cagliari Bianco is a white wine made from the Sardinian Nasco grape variety, which hardly plays a role outside of the Italian Mediterranean island. If you want to get an authentic impression of the art of winegrowing in Sardinia, the creations of the Argiolas family winery are the perfect choice. Pure Sardinia - and an extraordinary feast for the senses.

The bouquet of the shimmering straw-yellow white wine is impressively complex. It combines floral notes of yellow flowers, honeysuckle and broom with hints of tropical fruit. The rich bouquet is harmoniously rounded off with nuances of melon, musk and a hint of vanilla.

On the palate, Argiolas Iselis Nasco di Cagliari Bianco is wonderfully fresh, soft and aromatic. The interplay of aromas includes notes of apricot, quince and bitter almonds, as well as nuances of marzipan. Full-bodied and with a creamy texture, this is a great taste experience that lingers for a long time.

The name of the Nasco grape variety could come from the Latin "Muscus", which means musk. The extraordinary aroma of the grapes supports this interpretation. In order to bring out precisely these qualities of the grape variety, only a small proportion of the must for the Argiolas Iselis Nasco di Cagliari Bianco is vinified in small French oak barrels.

Discover this unmistakable ambassador of Sardinian white wines at a drinking temperature of 10 to 12 degrees. The Nasco di Cagliari goes wonderfully with fish starters, ravioli with grated Parmesan or pasta with prawns. If you want to get to know Sardinian cuisine, you can also serve Culurgiones di patate, Sardinian potato ravioli, with this great white wine.

Cantine Argiolas

The Argiolas Costamolino Vermentino di Sardegna leaves an impression right from the start with its multi-faceted bouquet. A wonderfully refreshing and fruity white wine from Sardinia. Notes of grapefruit in the foreground, with subtle herbal and spicy tones of aniseed and fennel. Kerin O'Keefe awarded 91 points for this Vermentino in Wine Enthusiast and came to the following conclusion: "A scent of white spring wildflowers, yellow stone fruit and citrus fruits comes to the fore."Piquant and crisp, the spicy palate offers peach, white grapefruit and pineapple before a salty finish. On the palate, the full-bodied Argiolas Costamolino Vermentino di Sardegna also impresses with its great freshness, good length and long finish, which is characterized by a slight astringency. The white wine, which is straw yellow in the glass with light green reflections, comes from the Vigne Vecchie vineyard of the Argiolas family winery. Now in its third generation, it produces high-quality wine in the south of Sardinia.Enjoy this white wine from the Italian Mediterranean island at a drinking temperature of 8 to 10 degrees. The dry Vermentino is a wonderful accompaniment to starters with seafood, fresh salads, asparagus or even fregola (a type of pasta made from durum wheat semolina common in Sardinia) with shellfish. Soft, medium-ripened cheese is also a very good choice with this typical Sardinian white wine.

Intense fruity notes of cherries, blueberries, plums and blackberries characterize the bouquet of the Argiolas Iselis Monica di Sardegna Superiore. There are also wonderfully harmonious notes of pepper, cinnamon and vanilla from the ageing in wood. The Argiolas family winery knows how to fully develop the qualities of typical Sardinian grape varieties. This is also the case with this creation, in which the Monica Nera, an indigenous Sardinian grape variety, takes center stage. The ruby red wine is soft and velvety on the palate. Ripe, sweetish tannins are noticeable, along with a great interplay of aromas (black fruits, spices again and a hint of vanilla). Perfect balance and a finish that lingers. This blend with the typical Sardinian grape varieties Monica and - in addition - Carignano and Bovale Sardo, matured for around 12 months in French barrique barrels. The interplay of fruit and wood is impressive. Surrau Branu Vermentino di Gallura DOCG
The Branu Vermentino di Gallura from Vigne Surrau is described as spring, if there is such a thing in wine. Admittedly, this is a rather fanciful description, but the wine does represent a kind of new beginning. In spring, we are enveloped by fresh, beautiful fragrances and this is also the case with Branu Vermentino. The scent is reminiscent of the sea and flower meadows. With its typical minerality and freshness, this Vermentino fully meets the expectations of the grape variety. Aged entirely in steel tanks, it has a straw-yellow color with light greenish reflections in the glass. The palate is full-bodied and fresh with intense mineral notes. The Surrau Branu Vermentino di Gallura is a great wine that is suitable both as an aperitif and as an accompaniment to oysters, snails, mussels and other seafood.
