Varvaglione Vigne & Vini

Doppio Passo Primitivo Puglia IGT
Previous vintages of this Primitivo from Apulia have won numerous awards. The wine unites notes of sweet berries (blackberries, wild berries and cherries) and intense nuances of dried fruit in its bouquet. On the palate, the popular red wine from South Italy is wonderfully aromatic, velvety and full-bodied, with finely integrated tannins, showing a great density. The impressive, deep aromas and the full body of the Doppio Passo Primitivo are based on a traditional production process, which is similar to the Ripasso di Valpolicella method. After the first fermentation, the wine is added to the grape skins once again for a second fermentation. During this second step of the ‘double process’ (doppio passo), the wine extracts colour, aromas and a fine hint of sweetness from the skins once more. Enjoy this red wine made from hand-picked, ripe Primitivo grapes from Salento in Apulia with tangy cheeses, pasta, or game.

Doppio Passo Primitivo Salento Etichetta Blu IGT

Pr1mo Numero Uno Primitivo Salento
Pr1mo Numero Uno Primitivo Salento - Intense pleasure from ApuliaThe Primitivo grape variety has enjoyed unbroken popularity for years. The variety of Primitivo wines is now almost unmanageable. It is therefore all the more important to preserve the original character of this grape. The Pr1mo Numero Uno Primitivo Salento does this very well. Deliberately with a little less residual sweetness and very structured on the palate, this dry wine from Italy is full-bodied but at the same time has a smoothness that is second to none. In a long process with the cellar master and owner Gaetano Marangelli from Cantine Menhir, we have brought the typical Apulian native form of a Primitivo into the bottle. The color is an intense dark red and shows all the power of the sun that was able to flow into the grapes of the Pr1mo. The nose has wonderful aromas of cherry jam, ripe plums and wild berries. Maturing in wooden barrels gives the wine an additional hint of vanilla. Fruit and fullness dominate the palate. The Pr1mo Numero Uno Primitivo Salento is always velvety and balanced. Enjoy the original Puglia. The Pr1mo Numero Uno Primitivo Salento is an all-rounder that can be enjoyed solo or with a good meal. Serve this wine with roast pork or dark meat from the grill. This red wine is also an excellent accompaniment to strong cheeses. Our chocolate tip: Try an exquisite milk chocolate with notes of salted caramel with this dry red wine.

Cielo e Terra 3 Passo Rosso
The 3 Passo is a special organic wine. Its name implies the method of wine production. Expressed in simple terms, the wine is blended from three components. One third of the wine is made from overripe grapes that are processed using the appassimento method. The second third of the wine is naturally fermented. The pumping over (remontage) gives the wine more colour and taste. After fermentation, the last third of the wine remains in wooden casks for some time, giving the Cielo e Terra 3 Passo its special character and aromas of vanilla and spices. The wine is a deep garnet-red in colour and offers intense notes of ripe fruit on the nose. The bouquet is complemented by light wood aromas. The wine is powerful on the palate, showing rich fruit aromas and slightly notes of vanilla. The 3 Passo is soft, harmonious and full-bodied, with a complex, prolonged finish.
