Doppio Passo Primitivo Salento Etichetta Blu IGT

The full-bodied Doppio Passo Primitivo Salento Puglia in a particularly beautiful relief bottle is a popular specialty from Italy. Its impressive depth of aroma and fullness are based on the traditional Ripasso di Valpolicella production method. After the first fermentation, the wine is returned to the skins to ferment again. During this "double pass" (doppio passo), the wine extracts color, aroma and a fine hint of sweetness from the skins once again. This second fermentation gives the Primitivo more intensity and fullness.

The bouquet combines notes of sweet berries (blackberries, wild berries and cherries) with intense notes of dried fruit. On the palate, this characterful red wine from southern Italy is wonderfully aromatic, full-bodied and velvety, with finely integrated tannins.

Enjoy this red wine made from hand-picked, ripe Primitivo grapes from the Apulian Salento region with strong cheese or grilled food.
