Serre dei Roveri Appassimento Piemonte Barbera DOC 2024

This impressive wine from Piedmont offers intense aromas of cherries, ripe dark fruit and dried fruit on the nose. On the palate, this complex wine is powerful, with great density and noticeable but soft and beautifully integrated tannins. In the traditional Appassimento method, the grapes ripen beyond the full ripening date and dry on the vine. They shrink almost to a raisin and thus gain aromas, sugar and acidity. This results in exceptional wines with fine aromas reminiscent of raisins and a finish that lingers for a long time. Discover the Serre dei Roveri Appassimento Piemonte Barbera DOC with hearty game dishes, roasts or long matured cheese variations, for example. Simonsig Pick of the Bunch Pinotage 2022

The Simonsig Pick of the Bunch Pinotage has a dark red color. The aromas of sweet red fruits and cherries are dominant and captivating from the start. The grand finale then features notes of blackcurrant and velvety, silky tannins.Frans Malan, the founder of Simonsig Estate, presented his estate's first red wine in 1970 with a Pinotage. It is deliberately not aged in wood in order to emphasize the fruitiness and bring out the raspberry notes. Our recommendation: Enjoy the wine four to eight years after the harvest. Pinotage has a wonderful ageing potential. Your patience will pay off! The wine is a wonderful accompaniment to grilled food or ideal with Indian cuisine.

Since 1974 Primitivo di Manduria DOP 2023

The Since 1974 Primitivo di Manduria DOP fulfills all the requirements that connoisseurs have for a genuine Primitivo from Apulia. The Italian red wine is deep and intense, with a ripe variety of aromas that it was able to develop during barrel ageing.Even though the Primitivo grape enjoys its Californian fame under the name Zinfandel, the vine is as Italian as it gets. In its country of origin, it displays a mature fullness, as in the Since 1974 Primitivo di Manduria DOP from the Tenute Eméra winery, and is matured for over a year in French oak barrels. The ageing process delights the palate with typical notes of wood, leather and tobacco, which are wonderfully contrasted by the fruit. This gives the tannins a very soft face, which unfolds particularly pleasantly in the long finish.Since 1974, this wine has been bottled by the Tagaro winery since the 2022 vintage, previously by Tenute Eméra.This authentic wine from Italy unfolds its full depth with game, roasts or flavorful pasta dishes. The drinking temperature should be 17-18 °C. This semi-dry wine is vegan and should ideally be decanted.
