The Spanish winery Pago del Rey has set itself the goal of producing quality wines with their own personality. The winery was opened in Rueda in 2005.The Pagos del Rey Blume Verdejo Viura Rueda DO is made from the Verdejo grape variety and a small proportion of Viura. Viura is often blended with other grape varieties to produce dry white wines with real character.The grapes are harvested at night at the beginning of October. The cool night-time temperatures allow the berries to retain their wonderful aromatic character. The must undergoes 6-8 hours of cold maceration to allow the wonderful aromas to come to the fore. The subsequent fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 14-17°C in stainless steel tanks.In the glass, the white wine is light yellow with green reflections. The bouquet offers intense aromas of ripe tropical fruit with a slight hint of citrus, elderflower and apple. These impressions are repeated on the palate. With well-integrated acidity and a gentle finish, a delicate wine has been created.The Pagos del Rey Blume Verdejo Viura Rueda DO is particularly suitable with seafood or salads at a drinking temperature of 8-10°C.

Pulpo Albariño comes from the renowned Val do Salnés wine-growing region in Galicia, the largest subregion of the D.O. Rías Baixas. Its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, mild temperatures, and relatively low rainfall during the summer months create ideal conditions for the Albariño grape variety, which reaches its full potential here thanks to its early ripening and delicate, elegant aromas.After gentle juice extraction, temperature-controlled fermentation takes place at 16 °C in stainless steel tanks. The wine then ages on its fine lees for three to four months. This aging process imparts additional body, a silky texture, and greater complexity without compromising its freshness or varietal character.On the nose, the wine reveals delicate aromas of white flowers along with hints of peach and apricot. On the palate, it is fruity and well-balanced, with pleasant freshness, an elegant structure, and a delightful, medium- to long-length finish.This Albariño pairs excellently with seafood, grilled squid, oysters, and mussels. It is also an ideal accompaniment to light fish dishes or Mediterranean appetizers.

Thanks to their north-south orientation, they benefit from optimal sunlight, allowing the grapes to ripen perfectly while retaining their characteristic acidity. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks to best preserve the natural aromas and vibrancy of the grape variety.On the nose, the wine unfolds an expressive bouquet of floral notes, citrus fruits, and stone fruits such as peach and apricot, underpinned by a subtle mineral nuance. For decades, the winery has known how to fully develop the qualities of the Albariño grape variety, which is typical of the Rías Baixas region.The pure Albariño shimmers pale straw-colored in the glass with golden reflections. The Spanish white wine has a seductive aroma of citrus fruit, quince and peach. Luis Gutiérrez awarded the Pazo de Señorans creation 91+ points in Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. "It shows great purity and elegance. It has 13.0% alcohol and is very balanced and clear." The great aroma density also characterizes the white wine from Galicia.
