Pagos del Rey Pulpo Albariño Rías Baixas DO

Pulpo Albariño comes from the renowned Val do Salnés wine-growing region in Galicia, the largest subregion of the D.O. Rías Baixas. Its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, mild temperatures, and relatively low rainfall during the summer months create ideal conditions for the Albariño grape variety, which reaches its full potential here thanks to its early ripening and delicate, elegant aromas.

After gentle juice extraction, temperature-controlled fermentation takes place at 16 °C in stainless steel tanks. The wine then ages on its fine lees for three to four months. This aging process imparts additional body, a silky texture, and greater complexity without compromising its freshness or varietal character.

On the nose, the wine reveals delicate aromas of white flowers along with hints of peach and apricot. On the palate, it is fruity and well-balanced, with pleasant freshness, an elegant structure, and a delightful, medium- to long-length finish.

This Albariño pairs excellently with seafood, grilled squid, oysters, and mussels. It is also an ideal accompaniment to light fish dishes or Mediterranean appetizers.

Paco y Lola No12 Albariño Rias Baixas DO

The location of the region in Galicia is characterized by a unique maritime climate. The Nº12 Albariño presents itself in the glass with a clear, straw-yellow hue. The nose reveals a medium-high intensity of citrus fruit and mandarin. These aromas are complemented by the scent of acacia and orange blossom. Tropical notes of lychee, for example, appear in the background. Enjoy the lively freshness and good acidity, which is very balanced on the palate with intense fruit notes. In contrast to its big brother, the Paco y Lola Albariño, the Nº12 is lighter and more drinkable. The number 12 refers to the number of days that the must was fermented in stainless steel tanks. Pagos del Rey Pulpo Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc
Pulpo Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc comes from the renowned wine regions of Awatere Valley and Wairau Valley in Marlborough, New Zealand. The cool, maritime climate—with plenty of sunshine, low rainfall, and well-drained, moderately fertile soils—creates ideal conditions for Sauvignon Blanc and gives the wine its expressive freshness and distinctive aromas. After the grapes are crushed, the must remains in contact with the skins at a low temperature for six to eight hours to extract the full aromatic potential. Gentle handling throughout the entire winemaking process preserves the freshness and varietal character of the Sauvignon Blanc. On the nose, the wine presents classic aromas of juicy tropical fruits and lively citrus notes. On the palate, intense nuances of passion fruit and fresh gooseberry stand out, giving the wine its typical Marlborough style, an invigorating freshness, and an expressive character. This Sauvignon Blanc pairs excellently with fish dishes, seafood, and medium-aged goat cheese.
