The fruity bouquet of this Cabernet Sauvignon from South Tyrol has an intense aroma of red berries, wonderfully underpinned by a fine spiciness. On the palate, the Cantina Tramin Cabernet Sauvignon is dry and full, with an impressive variety of aromas.Wine lovers can look forward to a delicious interplay of blackcurrant, dried fruit and chocolate aromas in this Italian red wine. But that's not all: hints of green bell pepper and cedar wood also enrich the aroma spectrum.The grapes for this red wine come from warm, calcareous and gravelly clay soils on hills at 250 to 350 meters above sea level. The Cantina Tramin Cabernet Sauvignon matures in large wooden barrels. We recommend enjoying this red wine from one of the most traditional winery cooperatives in South Tyrol at a drinking temperature of 18 to 20 degrees. The Cuvée T Red from the Cantina Tramin estate was made from the Vernatsch, Merlot and Pinot Noir grape varieties, giving this cuvée its distinctive character. The Vernatsch gives the wine a light, lively note, the Merlot gives it its fullness and body while the Pinot Noir provides an excellent fruitiness. On the one hand, this cuvée from South Tyrol is fresh and invigorating. On the other hand, it is soft and mild in taste. The Cantina Tramin Lagrein Rosso unites notes of violets and blackberries in its bouquet. On the palate, the red wine from South Tyrol is full-bodied and velvety, with slightly dry nuances. This wine made from Lagrein, the South Tyrolean autochthonous grape variety, is a ruby to dark garnet in colour.Red wines of this vintage are elegant and harmonious. A wet summer with only a few hours of sunshine required a late harvest. This late harvest is made possible for the winery by the vineyards located in alpine regions and the cooperative system which allows the Cantina Tramin estate to procure the very best grapes from various vineyards.The result of the meticulous harvest is a high-quality Lagrein that goes beautifully with game dishes, dark meat and hard cheeses.

Cantina Tramin Rungg Merlot-Cabernet 2023

The Merlot-Cabernet Sauvignon blend is complemented somewhat by the Cabernet Franc grape variety. The Cabernet Franc gives the red wine its light spiciness. The grapes for Cantina Tramin's Rungg all come from vineyards located to the south of the village of Tramin. The vines grow on hilly terrain at an altitude of around 300 meters. The soils have a gravelly subsoil, the soil above is clayey and calcareous. The terroir gives the wine from Italy a pleasant tannin structure and elegance. The wine is matured in barriques and larger wooden barrels to bring out the aromas.The color of the Rungg is garnet red. The dry wine has an intense aroma of cherry, redcurrant and dried fruit. Wonderfully round on the palate with chocolate aromas and light roasted flavors. The finish is long-lasting and powerful.Thanks to its full-bodied taste, the Cantina Tramin Rungg Merlot-Cabernet from South Tyrol is an excellent accompaniment to game dishes, roasts or well-matured cheese.

With the Urban Lagrein Riserva, you’ll enjoy one of the best red wines from South Tyrol. It is a dense violet-black in colour, and redolent of violets, blackberries and black currants. The wine is full-bodied, velvety and well-structured on the palate, showing astringent nuances so typical of the Lagrein grapes. The Urban Lagrein Riserva has an impressive depth, with gently integrated tannins. Its finish is characterised by hints of dark chocolate and aromas of wild berries.The Tramin Urban Lagrein Riserva matured for 12 months in barriques and for another 6 months in concrete barrels, then aged for 6 months in the bottle.We recommend decanting the Tramin Urban Lagrein Riserva 2 to 3 hours before drinking it.
