Glenwood Grand Duc Syrah 2023

The Glenwood Syrah Grand Duc comes from 29-year-old vines from the Glenwood vineyard and embodies the power and elegance of Syrah at the highest level. The carefully selected grapes ripen on low-density plots, producing small, particularly aromatic berries with intense fruit concentration.50% of the grapes are fermented as whole bunches in small open fermentation vats and gently punched down three times a day until fermentation is complete and dry. After pressing, malolactic fermentation takes place in barrels before the red wine matures for 20 months in a blend of 50% French and 50% new American premium oak. This combination gives it a harmonious balance between fruit, spice and gentle wood notes.With a deep dark ruby color, the Glenwood Syrah Grand Duc develops an intense bouquet of red fruits, accompanied by subtle spicy notes. On the palate, it is velvety and elegant, with soft tannins and complex layers of berry flavors and spices that linger for a long time.An ideal accompaniment to braised or grilled beef, lamb or strong cheeses - enjoy it at 16-18 °C to fully experience its multi-layered structure.

Haute Cabrière Arnim Family Reserve 2022

An unusual composition: in the Haute Cabrière Arnim Family Reserve, the Haute Cabrière wine estate combines the Syrah (Shiraz) and Pinot Noir grape varieties. Holden Manz Rothko Rosé 2024

The Holden Manz Rosé is light and crisp. In the style of a Provence rosé, it includes, among others, the typical grape varieties Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault. Its color is reminiscent of light-colored onion skin. On the nose, there are abundant notes of lychee, strawberry, and various tropical fruits, along with hints of rose petals, orange peel, and grapefruit. Holden Manz Vernissage 2021

The Holden Manz Vernissage is a cuvée consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot. The Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety gives the wine a lovely structure and particularly elegant tannins. Shiraz and Merlot provide notes of spices and fruit aromas, which are mainly characterised by nuances of dark cherries and plums. The wine is a light ruby-red, developing into a clear red towards the rim in the glass. The Holden Manz Vernissage has a balanced acidity and shows vivid aromas of cassis, tobacco and spice, giving the wine a very good balance. Its finish is soft and long-lasting. Winemaker Thierry Haberer selected the grapes from various vineyards with different types of soil. The grapes were harvested when fully ripe, thus giving the wine a wonderful complexity. After the careful blending of the single batches and grape varieties and the numerous tastings involved, Thierry finally created this expressive, balanced and very fruity Holden Manz Vernissage. The wine matured for 18 months in 225-litre French oak casks. Enjoy the wine with lamb stews with garlic sauce or grilled polenta.

Holden Manz Visionaire 2020

The name Holden Manz Visionaire already hides something special. It is an attempt to create an expressive wine from 6 different grape varieties. And it has succeeded! The interplay was a real challenge for the winemaker, as a wide variety of components had to be taken into account. The grapes were selected from different plots with different soil types. Ageing took place in 20% new 225-liter French oak barrels and 80% in 2nd and 3rd fill barrels. After 24 months of ageing, the wines were blended and bottled.The result is a wine of incredible complexity, with a perfect balance between residual sugar and acidity. The nose is spoiled by a multitude of aromas, such as mulberry, redcurrant, delicate notes of white pepper and violets. On the palate, the Holden Manz Visionaire is elegant and smooth with medium maturity. It is dominated by red and black fruits with an exceptional minerality. The finely integrated tannins are firm and round off the taste impression wonderfully.Combine an air-dried fillet steak in pepper sauce or lamb chops with this wonderfully complex Holden Manz Visionaire.

With only 1064 bottles worldwide, this La Bri Syrah "1064" from Franschhoek in South Africa is a real rarity. The wine comes from a single vineyard with particularly low yields and impresses with its aromatic depth, intense spice and remarkable structure. A highly rated Syrah with 94 points in the Platter's Guide - expressive, limited and storable.The grapes for this wine were carefully selected from a single vineyard on the La Bri estate. After a one-week cold maceration, fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation and 24 months of ageing in French oak (partly new) ensure a complex, powerful yet elegant wine.The aroma of La Bri Syrah "1064" is intense and multi-layered. Ripe dark berries, fine dark chocolate, cloves and Mediterranean herbs dominate the bouquet. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, juicy and structured with a long finish and fine spice.Like all limited release wines from La Bri, this Syrah also bears a floral symbolism. The Paserene Rosie from the Paserene winery comes from the famous Western Cape, one of the best wine regions in South Africa. The Paserene Union is a pure Syrah from the South African region of Tulbagh, which is one of the country's most impressive red wines with its intense structure, deep aromas and remarkable elegance. This wine comes from low-yielding vines that thrive on decomposed slate soils. The combination of dry soil, hot days and cool nights produces exceptionally concentrated fruit and gives the Syrah its powerful, complex personality.The grapes are carefully harvested by hand and fermented in open concrete tanks for around four weeks. This traditional method allows a gentle extraction of color and aroma and expresses the full depth of the terroir. The wine then matures for sixteen months in used French oak barrels, giving the fruit enough space to fully develop. A further year of bottle ageing before release ensures perfect integration of the aromas. The wine is bottled unfiltered to preserve its authentic structure and natural strength.In the glass, Paserene Union has an almost inky black hue. The bouquet is intense and multi-faceted, characterized by ripe dark fruits such as blueberries and mulberries, accompanied by smoky and earthy notes reminiscent of charcoal, bacon and a hint of tar. Subtle hints of cedar wood, tobacco and fine spices testify to the subtle influence of wood. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and powerful, with dense, fine-meshed tannins and a wonderfully balanced acidity. The concentrated fruit is complemented by a striking mineral component that provides additional depth and warmth.
