Glenwood Grand Duc Syrah

The Glenwood Syrah Grand Duc comes from 29-year-old vines from the Glenwood vineyard and embodies the power and elegance of Syrah at the highest level. The carefully selected grapes ripen on low-density plots, producing small, particularly aromatic berries with intense fruit concentration.

50% of the grapes are fermented as whole bunches in small open fermentation vats and gently punched down three times a day until fermentation is complete and dry. After pressing, malolactic fermentation takes place in barrels before the red wine matures for 20 months in a blend of 50% French and 50% new American premium oak. This combination gives it a harmonious balance between fruit, spice and gentle wood notes.

With a deep dark ruby color, the Glenwood Syrah Grand Duc develops an intense bouquet of red fruits, accompanied by subtle spicy notes. On the palate, it is velvety and elegant, with soft tannins and complex layers of berry flavors and spices that linger for a long time.

An ideal accompaniment to braised or grilled beef, lamb or strong cheeses - enjoy it at 16-18 °C to fully experience its multi-layered structure.

La Bri Syrah 1064 Bottles
With only 1064 bottles worldwide, this La Bri Syrah "1064" from Franschhoek in South Africa is a real rarity. The wine comes from a single vineyard with particularly low yields and impresses with its aromatic depth, intense spice and remarkable structure. A highly rated Syrah with 94 points in the Platter's Guide - expressive, limited and storable. The grapes for this wine were carefully selected from a single vineyard on the La Bri estate. After a one-week cold maceration, fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation and 24 months of ageing in French oak (partly new) ensure a complex, powerful yet elegant wine. The aroma of La Bri Syrah "1064" is intense and multi-layered. Ripe dark berries, fine dark chocolate, cloves and Mediterranean herbs dominate the bouquet. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, juicy and structured with a long finish and fine spice.Like all limited release wines from La Bri, this Syrah also bears a floral symbolism. The inverted representation of the flower "Herbae" (herbs) reflects the wildly aromatic nature of this wine - a foray through the herb garden in liquid form.Perfect with rack of lamb with herb crust, braised game, ratatouille or mature hard cheese.Maturation potential: 8-10 years

Anthonij Rupert Syrah
The Anthonij Rupert Syrah comes from strictly selected vines from the Franschhoek Valley in South Africa. A pre-selection is made as early as the hand-picking stage. Only the best grapes find their way into the wine. Both the fermentation and the subsequent maturation, which lasts an average of 21 months, take place in French oak barrels. The Anthonij Rupert Syrah was then bottled unfiltered and matured for a further 2 years. The red wine has a wonderful aroma of violets, plums, raspberries and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is amazingly complex but extremely multi-faceted. Beautiful fruity notes are in harmony with spicy notes and a gently integrated tannin structure. The finish is also juicy, balanced and convincingly long. For a long evening in front of the fireplace or as an accompaniment to a festive meal, you will hardly find anything better. Open the wine at least two hours before drinking and give it some time to develop in the glass.
