Neil Ellis Groenekloof Syrah

The Neil Ellis Groenekloof Syrah from the Groenekloof growing region on the Atlantic coast of South Africa combines a variety of notes of blackberries, blueberries, plums, cherries and violets on the nose. There are also nuances of white pepper, licorice and distinct roasted aromas.

The purple-red wine is opulent on the palate, with well-integrated tannins, balanced acidity and a round texture. Allow the red wine to breathe for a while so that it can reveal its full range of aromas.

The Neil Ellis Groenekloof Syrah comes from rather low-yielding bush vines, i.e. vines without wire frame training. The growing area is not irrigated. The Gronekloof Syrah from the Neil Ellis winery matures for 15 months in French oak.

Enjoy this wine with pork belly and braised chicken.
