The Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 is the flagship of the renowned Beaulieu Vineyard (BV) and one of the most important wines of the Napa Valley. Since 1936, this iconic Cabernet Sauvignon has set the standard for elegance, power and longevity. The grapes for this exceptional wine come from the best parcels of BV Ranch No. 1 and No. 2 in the Rutherford area, where deep, volcanic soils with a high tuff and clay content ensure an incomparable concentration of aromas and structure.2019 was a near-perfect vintage in Napa Valley with a balanced climate. After a cool and wet spring, a long, dry summer ensured that the grapes ripened slowly and evenly, allowing for an exceptional balance between fruit, acidity and tannin.In the glass, the Georges de Latour Private Reserve 2019 has a deep purple color with violet reflections. On the nose, it develops an intense bouquet of blackcurrant, stewed grapes, black cherry, orange peel and black plum, alongside spicy, perfumed notes of wild violet, rose petals, fresh spearmint, bay leaf and earth.Warm baking spice notes from the French oak barrel influence add vanilla, caramel and allspice. Saturated dark fruits are present and voluminous throughout the palate, displaying a mouth-coating structure with density and enveloping richness. Full-bodied and multi-layered, secondary notes of bittersweet dark chocolate, spicy umami, leather, tobacco leaf and graphite lend additional nuance and complexity. The long, multi-layered finish is accompanied by nuances of espresso, spices and subtle roasted aromas.An exceptional Napa Cabernet with great ageing potential that can be enjoyed young, but will gain finesse and complexity over the next 20 to 30 years.The Georges de Latour Private Reserve 2019 is ideal with fine meat dishes such as dry-aged steaks, rack of lamb or mature hard cheese. Guado al Tasso Bolgheri DOC Superiore 2022

The Guado al Tasso is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The wonderful wine comes from the Tenuta Guado al Tasso. It is located about 80 kilometres southwest of Florence, near the medieval village of Bolgheri. The grapes were aged separately in new oak barrels for 12 months. The best parts were assembled and matured for six further months in small barrels before the wine was bottled.The Merlot gives the Guado al Tasso, a subtle sweetness and density and intense aromas of dark fruit. Cabernet Sauvignon offers notes of dark fruits and licorice. Cabernet Franc finally gives harmony and balance, while Petit Verdot completes the bouquet with a hint of spice.Enjoy an elegant wine from Tuscany, for which the grapes were handpicked and processed with great meticulousness.

Die Trauben werden sorgfältig von Hand geerntet und selektiert, bevor sie schonend entrappt und verarbeitet werden. Die Fermentation erfolgt in Edelstahltanks bei kontrollierten Temperaturen, um die Fruchtigkeit und Reinheit der Aromen zu bewahren. Nach der Gärung reift der Wein für 24 Monate in neuen französischen Eichenfässern. Während dieser Zeit entwickelt er seine charakteristische Finesse, Komplexität und Langlebigkeit. Nach der Abfüllung erhält der Wein eine zusätzliche Flaschenreifung, bevor er in den Handel gelangt.Der Joseph Phelps Insignia 2021 sollte vor dem Genuss etwa 1–2 Stunden dekantiert werden, um seine Aromen vollständig zu entfalten. Kanonkop Black Label Pinotage - South Africa's icon in its purest formAn "icon" wine is the name given to a wine that has held an exceptional position for years. And this is exactly what the Kanonkop Black Label Pinotage has achieved. This South African Pinotage can rightly claim to be something very special. The grapes come from 63-year-old bushvine vines, the name given to vines that grow in bush form in South Africa. This means that the vines grow naturally, with the winemaker only intervening in nature by pruning. The vines thrive on dry soils characterized by decomposed granite and weathered rock. The yield per hectare is extremely low at 2.8 tons, which ensures a high level of complexity in the wine.Fermentation took place in open concrete vats. The mash was manually pressed every 2 hours and the juice was extracted from the skins after 3.5 days. Maturation took place for 18 months in 100% new French barrique barrels. As a result, the Kanonkop Black Label Pinotage achieves complex aromas of black cherry, plum and dark chocolate with a hint of cedar on the nose. On the palate, it is full with a velvety tannin structure and notes of red and black fruits. The finish is long-lasting and intense.The Kanonkop Black Label Pinotage is an excellent accompaniment to red meat or spicy Asian cuisine.

Speziell die Kracher Trockenbeerenauslese Grande Cuvée No. 5 Nouvelle Vague 2019 verzaubert einmal mehr die internationale Weinkritik. 98 Punkte in Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate und von James Suckling: Viel mehr geht nicht. Wer das große Glück hat, eine dieser Kracher-Kreationen öffnen zu dürfen, kann sich auf ein intensives Fest für die Sinne freuen.Der Süßwein aus dem österreichischen Burgenland ist eine Komposition aus 60% Welschriesling und 40% Chardonnay. Die Trockenbeerenauslese Grande Cuvee No. 5 Nouvelle Vague 2019 duftet phänomenal vielschichtig nach Dörrpflaumen und gedörrten Aprikosen, dazu Noten von Vanille, Karamell und eine rauchige Würze vom Ausbau im Holz. Im Hintergrund feine Nuancen von Honig.Stephan Reinhardt schreibt im Wine Advocate zum Bouquet dieser genialen TBA von Kracher: „Eröffnet mit einem klaren und konzentrierten, edlen und fein toastigen Bouquet mit reifen und gedünsteten Pfirsichen und Quitten, mit erfrischendem Zitronensaft und sehr feinen Röstaromen.“Am Gaumen ist der kräftig goldgelbe Süßwein aus Österreich nahezu unfassbar aromatisch. Reinhardt versucht das Ganze mit diesen Worten zu umschreiben: „Am Gaumen ist dies eine reichhaltige und großzügige, aber sehr raffinierte und elegante TBA mit einem langen, intensiven und salzigen Abgang, der eine sehr feine Kumquat-Bitterkeit offenbart. Dies ist eine wunderschön ausgewogene TBA mit extremer Länge, sehr feinen Tanninen und Zedernholznoten.“Die Kracher Trockenbeerenauslese Grande Cuvée No. 5 Nouvelle Vague 2019 bietet eine perfekte Harmonie. Auch die abschließenden Urteile im Wine Advocate und von James Suckling darf man sich auf der Zunge zergehen lassen. Reinhardt: „Eine Schönheit mit großer Komplexität und immensem Alterungspotential.“Und Suckling schreibt zu dieser Trockenbeerenauslese von Kracher: „Eine fabelhaft konzentrierte und wunderbar ausgewogene TBA. Es ist, als würde man in einen Fjord aus tropischen Früchten (sowohl frische als auch getrocknete) eintauchen, wobei die lebendige Säure und die salzige Mineralität die Üppigkeit exakt ausgleichen.“Wow. Trinkreif bis 2060 schreibt der Wine Advocate über die Trockenbeerenauslese (in neuen Barriques vergoren und 28 Monate gelagert). Aber wer kann und will so lange warten? Bei 10 bis 12 Grad Trinktemperatur genießen. Fantastisch zur Kardinalschnitte (österreichische Küche: Streifen von luftiger Eischneemasse in Kombination mit Biskuit, Marillenmarmelade als Füllung) oder auch zur Gänseleberterrine mit Brioche.

"Monumental": that's what the makers of Castello di Fonterutoli themselves write about their Mazzei Siepi 2020. And what can we say: they're right. The red wine from Tuscany is an outstanding creation. The blend of 50% Sangiovese and 50% Merlot from the Chianti Classico region has enchanted international wine critics. "An exceptionally beautiful wine. I love it," says Decanter (98 points), for example, while Monica Larner writes in Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (95 points): "The Mazzei 2020 Siepi is a magnificent vintage."The bouquet of the Italian red wine seduces with its complexity and the wonderful interplay of fruit, spice and floral notes. "Graphite and pencil come through, along with violets and blackberries. Also some tar and asphalt," writes James Suckling, who awards 98. Castello di Fonterutoli itself discovers crunchy elderberries, plums, berries, sandalwood and tobacco on the nose, while Decanter says of the bouquet: "Dried herbs and sweet spices on the nose, forest notes with blackberry fruit, concentrated and expressive." Cherry notes also characterize the bouquet.On the palate, the Mazzei Siepi 2020 is dry, wonderfully soft and at the same time crisp and fresh, with impressive elegance and depth. The fruitiness is fascinating. "Such a smooth transition on the palate, the tannins glide over the tongue and give the sweet strawberry, raspberry and plum fruit time to expand in the mouth," enthuses Decanter. Aromas of blueberry and blackberry also enrich the play of flavors. Everything is round and in perfect balance, with a fabulous length.This Super Tuscan matured for 18 months in French oak barrels, 70% of which were new barrels. The Merlot was matured in barriques (225 liter barrels), the Sangiovese in tonneaux (500 liter barrels). The blend was then aged for three months in cement tanks.The Mazzei Siepi 2020 is already a real treat. However, it has enormous ageing potential. Suckling writes: "Already ready to drink, but will age gracefully for decades." The makers of Castello di Fonterutoli expect it to age for more than 20 years.Enjoy the Mazzei family's creation with a fine blue cheese. More pleasure is not possible.

The structure of this wine will keep it for at least 20 years. On the palate, it is perfectly balanced, full-bodied and superbly voluptuous on the mid-palate with a rewarding, lingering after taste of mature grapes and acidity that reflects its superb structure.MONTES ALPHA "M" can be enjoyed now or cellared for several years (it will continue to improve in the bottle for at least 20 years).

Montes Folly 2020

Purple Angel is a selection of our best Carmenère selected from our two Estates (50% sourced from Apalta, were its sunny vineyards give elegance to the wine and 50% from our Marchigue Estate, a coastal cool weather vineyard that produces low yields naturally and provides strength, concentration and a deep, intense carmine color to it. A fantastic wine that blends both elegance and powerPurple Angel showcases the spicy touches typical of Carmenère, with ripe, gentle and soft tannins, it’s a full bodied, concentrated wine that combines red berries and dark chocolate on the mouth with alluring cigar box, blackberries and plums aromas on the noseThe wine is blended with a touch of Petit Verdot to enhance its structure, color and cellaring potential. A mouth filling wine with a very long finish, definitely a unique Carmenère!Denomination of Origin: Purple Angel is a blend of 92% Carmenère and 8% Petit Verdot from the Colchagua Valley. Winemaking: Grapes are carefully hand picked. The clusters go through a grape by grape selection made by hand with a team of 14 people, in which only good fruit is allowed into the tank. During the 18 months of barrel aging in new French oak barrels, the wine is racked 3 times to get rid of lees, and allow some oxygen to interfere in the evolution and maturation of this wine.When the final blend is made, if the wine is totally clear, and has no microbiological pressure, there is no need for filtration or fining….so the wine goes unfiltered to the bottling process.Decant for at least an hour for better enjoyment, allowing the wine to open up.
