Five autochthonous grape varieties were used for this wonderful red wine from the south of Italy. The Farnese Fantini 20 Edizione Cinque Autoctoni Limited Release contains grapes that were dried on the vine and harvested around one month later. After fermentation, the wine is matured in new barrique barrels for a period of 18 months.The dry wine has a deep ruby red color with beautiful violet reflections. The nose is characterized by red fruit notes such as blackberry, cherry and plum. Spicy notes such as cinnamon and clove resonate in the background. A hint of liquorice completes the whole. On the palate, the Farnese Fantini 20 Edizione Cinque Autoctoni Limited Release is extremely balanced and fresh, with fine vanilla and chocolate aromas. The full, soft body with rich, velvety tannins ends in a long, persistent finish.The Farnese Fantini 20 Edizione Cinque Autoctoni Limited Release is an excellent accompaniment to food. Try it at a drinking temperature of 18 °C with meat in a mustard or pepper sauce. Production area: San Marzano, Salento, Puglia. At almost 100 meters above the sea level, with a high average temperature and very few rainfall during the year. The soils are mainly composed by clay, with an average depth which reaches up to 1 meter.Harvest period: Second and third decade of August Vinification: Thermo-controlled maceration, followed by draining and soft pressing at the end of the alcoholic fermentation Maturation: In stainless-steel Deep ruby red colour with violet reflections, intense aroma, fruity with notes of prunes and cherry, spicy with rosemary and vanilla scent. The Feudi Di San Marzano Gran Trio Rosso Salento is a cuvée from the Gran Trio, the three great grape varieties of Apulia: Primitivo, Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera. The vines benefit from the sunny location and the cool breezes from the Adriatic coast. While Primitivo is characterized by its soft texture, a spicy aroma is typical of the Negroamaro grape variety. Malvasia Nera is characterized by a delicate fragrance.Thanks to this blend, this outstanding red wine from the Cantine San Marzano winegrowers' cooperative is a true taste experience. This deep ruby-red wine from Apulia is redolent of wild berries, red blossoms, Mediterranean herbs, humus and eucalyptus.
