The grapes used for the Bründlmayer Zweigelt ripen in the wine-growing area of Kamptal, located about 80 kilometres west of Vienna. In the nose, the wine is spicy with lovely flavours of wild berries and toasted notes, complemented by a brief hint of pepper. The mild to medium-bodied wine has a relatively youthful tannin content.The Bründlmayer Zweigelt matured in stainless steel tanks and in mostly used Austrian oak casks. Zweigelt is a blend consisting of the two autochthonous Austrian St. Laurent and Blaufränkisch grape varieties and is highly regarded throughout Austria for its fruitiness and freshness.Enjoy this Austrian red wine with pasta, light game dishes and, in summer, slightly cooled with BBQ.

Ca’ Rugate Valpolicella Rio Albo DOC 2024

The Valpolicella Rio Albo DOC was produced at the Italian winery Ca' Rugate. Here, a history spanning more than 100 years comes to life—a history that has been inextricably linked to the Tessari family and the dark, volcanic soil of the Rugate hill for four generations. Three grape varieties—Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella—were blended into this dry red wine, with the finest grapes sourced from various vineyards in the hilly landscape of Montecchia di Crosara. The soils in this area are calcareous and rich in gravel.During vinification, fermentation takes place on the skins for 7–10 days, followed by aging in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.The Ca’ Rugate Valpolicella Rio Albo DOC displays a ruby-red color. Its bouquet is characterized by intense and persistent aromas reminiscent of blackberry and cherry. On the palate, this fruity red wine is soft, slightly tannic, and full of flavor.These flavors unfold best when served at a temperature of 14–6 °C. This Valpolicella pairs excellently with white meat and particularly dry cheeses. It is also well-suited as an aperitif.

The Codorniu 1872 Brut is made in homage to the first bottle of cava in history, created in 1872 by Josep Raventós and a distinctive blend of the grape varieties Xarel-lo, Parellada and Macabeo. The Cava, the traditional Catalan sparkling wine, combines the gentle fruitiness of Xarel-lo, the elegance of Parellada and the structure of Macabeo. The grapes come from Catalonia's most important wine region of Penedès, which is not far from Barcelona.The Cava has a pale yellow color. On the nose aromas of citrus and almonds. Der Cava Kripta vom Weingut Agustí Torelló Mata ist ein spanischer Schaumwein von Weltrang. Erstmals im Jahr 1978 von Agustí Torelló Mata kreiert, ist auch der Cava Kripta Brut Nature eine herausragende Komposition des katalonischen Weinbaus.Das Erfolgsrezept der Familie Torelló Mata ist dabei über Jahrzehnte unverändert. Prägende Rebsorten im Penedès, bedeutendste Weinregion Kataloniens, werden vermählt und in einem jahrelangen Reifeprozess zu einem Spitzen-Cava verfeinert.Der Cava Kripta Brut Nature ist eine Kreation aus 45% Macabeu (deren Lage 1962 angepflanzt wurde), 20% Xarel.lo (deren Lage 1974 angepflanzt wurde) und 35% Parellada (von Lagen von 1969). Macabeu verleiht dem Cava Finesse, Eleganz und Noten weißer Früchte, während Xarel.lo alkoholische Kraft, Körper und Struktur gibt. Die Rebsorte Parellada schließlich ist Garantin für aromatische Dichte, Säure und tropische Noten. Der Cava Kripta im Jahrgang duftet herrlich intensiv nach gebackenem Apfel, reifen Äpfeln (Golden Delicious) und Brioche. Dazu kommen feinen Toast-Noten. Am Gaumen ist der spanische Schaumwein trocken und herrlich cremig-weich, mit einem belebendem Säurespiel und einem sehr langen Finale.Torelló Matas Kripta ist in jeder Hinsicht ein Fest für die Sinne. Auch optisch macht der Cava Kripta Eindruck. Denn die Familie Torelló Mata präsentiert ihr Flaggschiff in einer Flasche, die einer römischen Amphore nachempfunden ist. Das Etikett wurde vom spanischen Künstler Rafael Bartolozzi gestaltet.Den Cava Kripta Brut Nature gibt es nur in streng limitierter Auflage.
