The Blaauwklippen winery, located 5 kilometers south of Stellenbosch city center, has combined the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon (largest proportion), Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Merlot to create an outstanding red wine.The bouquet of this red wine from the Cape has a seductive aroma of dark cassis, cigar box and cedar wood. These notes harmonize perfectly with nuances of plums and chocolate.De Blaauwe Klip is dry on the palate, with a full body and great energy. The De Toren Délicate is an elegant, fresh red wine cuvée from the South African wine estate De Toren, which is known for precise, balanced wines with a clear style. De Toren Fusion V 2020

If you want to taste one of the absolute top wines from South Africa, De Toren Fusion V is a must. The V stands for the 5 Bordeaux grape varieties used in the wine. The quality is on a par with the great wines from Bordeaux.After hand-picking and selecting the grapes, a long, gentle fermentation followed. Maturation took place over a period of 12 months in 50% new and 50% second-fill barrels. Barrels of 225 liters were used. The Delaire Graff Estate Banghoek Reserve Merlot is an expressive red wine from one of South Africa's best-known vineyards. In the middle of the majestic Banghoek Valley - a region that owes its name "De Bange Hoek" (the "terrible corner") to former pioneers - the Merlot grapes thrive in the highest vineyards of the Delaire Graff Estate. The special combination of altitude, slope and soil structure creates the ideal conditions for exceptionally concentrated, aromatic berries.The grapes for this Merlot are harvested exclusively by hand in the cool early morning hours. After careful selection, the grapes are gently destemmed and partially crushed. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature between 24°C and 26°C in open fermenters, supported by a targeted combination of punchdowns and pumpovers to extract the best possible color, structure and aromas. After primary fermentation, the wine spends a further four to six weeks on the skins at 16°C - a technique that adds depth and silky tannins.The Delaire Graff Merlot then matures for 16 months in 70% new French oak barrels - this gives it structure, ageing potential and complex spicy notes without overpowering the fruit.The wine is a deep ruby red in the glass. The juice was fermented in a combination of open-top fermenters and vertical stainless steel tanks.
