Grown in a prime location, this Grüner Veltliner is without a doubt worth tasting.It is harvested by hand at the beginning of October. The berries are not left to macerate. A cooled fermentation and subsequent storage takes place in steel tanks. The dry white wine matures for 4 months on the lees until bottling at the beginning of February.The nose reveals a fruity, fresh bouquet. Delicate spicy notes with a lively acidity structure caress the palate. You can almost feel the different soils from loess to gneiss and sandstone. A wonderful wine that will surprise you.The Birgit Eichinger Grüner Veltliner Strass Kamptal DAC is an excellent accompaniment to Asian cuisine at a recommended drinking temperature of 10-12°C.

Biscardo Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2021

This top wine from Veneto has an intense, garnet red color. The grape varieties Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara, which are characteristic of the region, give the wine its unique taste. Intense and persistent cherry aromas on the nose. On the palate, it is velvety, slightly bitter and reminiscent of cherry and bitter almonds. Incidentally, the Italian "amaro" means bitter. The grapes ripen on the hills of the small villages around Verona at an altitude of 150 to 400 meters above sea level. They are harvested by hand, usually at dawn or in the evening. This prevents the harvested grapes from being exposed to excessive heat and losing freshness.The quality of the grape skin is particularly important for Amarone, as it determines the tannins, color and flavor intensity. Incidentally, legend has it that a cellar worker in the 1930s actually wanted to create Recioto, but forgot the wine in the barrels. Fermentation continued and the sugar was converted into alcohol - which also explains the bitterness.Mabi's Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is an excellent accompaniment to red meat and game.

Biscardo Enigma Appassimento Sangiovese Rubicone IGT 2022

An seinem auffallenden Etikett ist der Mabis Biscardo Enigma Appassimento Sangiovese Rubicone IGT erkennbar. Enigma (dt. rätselhaft) hat das italienische Weingut Mabis seinen Appassimento benannt. Unter Leitung der Familie Biscardo und einigen Landwirtschaftsbetrieben der Emilia-Romagna wurde der Rotwein mit dem Hinweis an alle Weingenießer und Appassimento Liebhaber erschaffen, diesen mystischen Wein mit geweckter Neugier zu entdecken.Die Sangiovese Trauben, aus denen der Rotwein gekeltert wird, werden im Spätherbst von Hand geerntet. Die Beeren sind zu diesem Zeitpunkt teilweise getrocknet. Um den Früchten weiterhin Wasser zu entziehen, sodass Zucker und Extrakt konzentrierter werden, wird das Trocknungsverfahren fortgefahren. Ende Dezember erfolgt eine langsame Mazeration bei kontrollierten und niedrigen Temperaturen. Bis zum März reift der Wein auf der Hefe, wovon 30% in Eichenfässern. Wie der Name des Weins und das Herstellungsverfahren uns verraten, wird der Enigma nach dem Appassimentoverfahren vinifiziert.Der intensiv schwarze Mabis Biscardo Enigma Appassimento Sangiovese Rubicone IGT verführt mit harmonischen Aromen von roten Früchten und schwarzen Beeren. Die Sinne nehmen einen gut balancierten Wein mit weichen und süßen Tanninen wahr.

On the palate, this red wine from New Zealand has a light to medium body, it is an "easy drinking" Pinot Noir with a soft, round taste, well-balanced acidity and long-lasting aromas. The Bishops Leap Sauvignon Blanc is a lively, aromatic white wine from the world-famous wine region of Marlborough, New Zealand.Straw yellow in color with green reflections in the glass and particularly fruity on the nose. Crisp, fresh and aromatic on the palate - this New Zealand white wine presents the typical Marlborough aromas of gooseberry, stone fruit and nettle. The delicious acidity leads to a long, lingering finish. The juice was fermented cold in stainless steel tanks to maintain freshness and zest. The grapes for the Bishops Leap Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc come from various sites in Marlborough's Southern Valleys and were harvested at night, during the coldest part of the day, at optimum ripeness. After transportation to the winery, the grapes were pressed with minimal contact with the skins.The Bishops Leap from Marlborough Valley Wines is a wonderful aperitif. Das Weingut Blaauwklippen, 5 Kilometer südlich vom Zentrum Stellenboschs gelegen, hat die Rebsorten Cabernet Sauvignon (größter Anteil), Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec und Petit Verdot zu einem herausragenden Rotwein komponiert. 91 Punkte (4,5 von 5 Sternen) von Greg de Bruyn in John Platter’s Wine Guide sprechen eine deutliche Sprache. Der Jahrgang 2018 von De Blaauwe Klip beeindrucke „mit intensiver violetter Tönung, konzentrierten schwarzen Früchten und reifen Tanninen“, urteilt de Bruyn.Der Reihe nach: Das Bouquet des Rotweins vom Kap duftet verführerisch nach dunklem Cassis, Zigarrenkiste und Zedernholz.
