Blaauwklippen Chenin Blanc

Chenin Blanc, the defining white grape variety of South African viticulture, stands for unmistakable enjoyment from the Cape. The Blaauwklippen Chenin Blanc is a fine example of this. Notes of yellow peach and quince characterize the bouquet of this white wine from Stellenbosch. They are harmoniously complemented by notes of pineapple, fresh hay, lemon peel and yellow flowers.

On the palate, the fresh and fruity, single-varietal Chenin Blanc is dry and smooth and elegant. A beautiful mineral acidity awaits connoisseurs, along with aromas of fresh citrus fruits. The animating, slightly salty finish lingers on.

Enjoy the Blaauwklippen Chenin Blanc, which is matured in stainless steel tanks, well chilled at a picnic with friends. This white wine from the Cape is an ideal accompaniment to grilled chicken or a mushroom risotto.

Allesverloren Chenin Blanc
The grapes for the Allesverloren Chenin Blanc come from vineyards that are located more than 300 metres above sea level. The vineyards are exposed to the northwest and southeast, thus benefitting from optimal sunshine and giving the wine its special complexity and an enormous fullness. The wine has a clear, brilliant colour with light green glints. On the nose, it offers very fine nuances of coal, complemented by aromas of juicy apples and hints of lime. The Allesverloren Chenin Blanc is well-balanced, with restrained acidity. Nevertheless, it is lively, fresh and soft on the palate. The ripe notes of stone fruit particularly underscore this taste experience. We recommend serving this wine with light chicken dishes, summer salads or seafood.

Spier Signature Chenin Blanc
This chenin blanc is made from young vines of five years old, which are perfect for a delicious and refreshing dry wine, with lots of fruit. Only when the stakes get older, the wines get more concentration. By keeping the proceeds low, the wine gets a really nice solid and mineral character. Like the other wines in this series he gets after a fermentation process at low temperature aged for a few months on the yeast cells, which makes it nicely rich and firm of character. A delicious, smooth and crisp Chenin Blanc is the result.
