Saint Clair Omaka Reserve Chardonnay 2024

With its pale golden color and intense and complex aromas of white peach and honeysuckle, the Saint Clair Omaka Reserve Chardonnay impresses. There are also hints of savory bacon and rounding oak notes.Taste: A wonderfully full-bodied and rich white wine with complex stone fruit aromas and a hint of spice. Underlying savory oak notes and subtle yeasty characters add to the complexity. On the palate, it is elegant and full with firm acidity and a long finish.Aging potential:Perfect for immediate enjoyment. This Chardonnay can age wonderfully with careful storage in the bottle and is still perfectly drinkable four years after bottling.Winemaking: The grapes were carefully hand-picked and pressed whole to ensure that all the defining terroir characteristics and fruit flavors were retained. The wine was fermented in 100 percent American oak (50 percent in new oak barrels, 25 percent in second-fill barrels and 25 percent in third-fill barrels). Selected yeast strains were used for fermentation. The wine then underwent malolactic fermentation and matured on the lees for ten months with regular pumping over. Only the best barrels from each batch were selected to make the final blend.Perfect with salmon, strong cream sauces or roast chicken.

Saint Clair Family Estate was founded by Neal and Judy Ibbotson, viticultural pioneers in Marlborough since 1978, and has since become an internationally acclaimed brand, synonymous with distinctive quality wine from the north of New Zealand's South Island.This Saint Clair Origin Chardonnay was harvested at optimum ripeness from vineyards in the Marlborough region. Each site was deliberately selected to give the wine a special complexity. A delicious, fruit-driven wine with ripe peach, nashi pear, spice and hazelnuts with a long finish. It was matured in French and American oak barrels.The perfect accompaniment to seafood with cream sauces or light Thai coconut curry dishes. Block“ auch eine heitere Anspielung auf die ersten Reaktionen der Weintrinker beim Genuss dieses aromatisch vollen Weines: „Oh my goodness what amazing flavours!“.Die Trauben des reinsortigen Sauvignon Blanc stammen aus einem einzigen Weinberg gelegen an der O'Dwyers Road im unteren Rapaura-Gebiet nördlich vom neuseeländischen Blenheim. Dieser Standort hat fruchtbare, tiefgründige Schlickböden. Nach der Ernte wird der Saft sofort abgepresst, sodass der Kontakt mit der Schale gering bleibt. Salentein Barrel Selection Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

Since its founding in 1995, Bodegas Salentein has spared no effort to become one of the premium wineries in Argentina. The winery succeeded in recruiting star oenologist José Galante, and invested millions in the construction of the wine cellar that was built underground in the shape of a cross and equipped with the latest technology. The Salentein Barrel Selection Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most outstanding results of these efforts. It is a pure varietal Cabernet Sauvignon that matured for 12 months in French oak casks before it was bottled. It is a striking, intensely dark red – almost black - in the glass, offering the classic Cabernet Sauvignon aromas of currants, pepper and vanilla. It is fleshy on the palate, showing a very elegant structure and fine, soft, well-integrated tannins. The finish is long and voluminous. Those who prefer typical Cabernet Sauvignon wines will be delighted by this Salentein Barrel Selection. It is best served at a temperature of 16-18 °C (60.8-64.4 °F) and goes beautifully with lamb, game and mildly seasoned red meat. It is also an ideal accompaniment to hard cheeses. We recommend decanting the wine before drinking it so that the Salentein Barrel Selection Cabernet Sauvignon can develop its aromas to the fullest.
