The Scheid Family Wines District 7 Cabernet Sauvignon is a wonderful example of the exceptional red wines from Monterey County. The pure Cabernet Sauvignon has a wonderfully complex aroma of blackberries, black cherries, raspberries and currants. There are also notes of almonds, vanilla and toasted oak. On the palate, this Cabernet Sauvignon from California is juicy, elegant and balanced, with silky, perfectly integrated tannins, beautiful structure and a finish with a long aftertaste. This finish is characterized by notes of blackberries, cassis and almonds.
The Scheid Family Wines District 7 Cabernet Sauvignon matured for 10 months in French, American and Hungarian oak barrels, with 30 percent new barrels being used. The dry red wine combines grapes from two growing regions in southern Monterey County.
The Scheid family cultivates a total of 11 growing areas in the Salinas Valley in California and has been active since 1972. The family is committed to sustainability in every respect - both in terms of the winery's employees, many of whom have been with the company for more than 25 years, and in terms of how they treat nature. Among other things, the winery from the USA obtains all of its energy from wind power.
Try the Scheid Family Wines District 7 Cabernet Sauvignon with beef or game dishes or with a mushroom risotto.
