Scheid Family Wines District 7 Cabernet Sauvignon

The Scheid Family Wines District 7 Cabernet Sauvignon is a wonderful example of the exceptional red wines from Monterey County. The pure Cabernet Sauvignon has a wonderfully complex aroma of blackberries, black cherries, raspberries and currants. There are also notes of almonds, vanilla and toasted oak. On the palate, this Cabernet Sauvignon from California is juicy, elegant and balanced, with silky, perfectly integrated tannins, beautiful structure and a finish with a long aftertaste. This finish is characterized by notes of blackberries, cassis and almonds.

The Scheid Family Wines District 7 Cabernet Sauvignon matured for 10 months in French, American and Hungarian oak barrels, with 30 percent new barrels being used. The dry red wine combines grapes from two growing regions in southern Monterey County.

The Scheid family cultivates a total of 11 growing areas in the Salinas Valley in California and has been active since 1972. The family is committed to sustainability in every respect - both in terms of the winery's employees, many of whom have been with the company for more than 25 years, and in terms of how they treat nature. Among other things, the winery from the USA obtains all of its energy from wind power.

Try the Scheid Family Wines District 7 Cabernet Sauvignon with beef or game dishes or with a mushroom risotto.

Hall Ranch Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon
The Hall Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon is a red wine full of character from the USA, more precisely from the renowned Paso Robles wine-growing region on California's Central Coast. The region is known for its warm, sunny climate with cool nights, which provides ideal conditions for growing Cabernet Sauvignon and results in fully ripe grapes with an intense aroma and rather mild acidity. Hall Ranch established itself in the early 1990s as a new winery that wanted to bring the pioneering spirit of California into the wine glass with a fresh spirit. In the glass, the wine is a deep ruby red. The nose reveals aromas of dark berries, particularly blackcurrant and ripe cherry, complemented by subtle spicy notes, slight hints of vanilla, cocoa and toasted wood, which indicate that the wine has been aged in barrels. On the palate, the Hall Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon is full-bodied and juicy, with pronounced fruit, well-integrated, soft tannins and a pleasant structure. The finish is round and of medium length, with a good balance between fruit, spice and a subtle woody character.Overall, this wine represents good to very good quality in the style of a modern Californian Cabernet Sauvignon: fruit-driven, accessible and yet with sufficient depth and structure. We are convinced of this grape juice as a "total work of art", because rarely has a wine impressed us so much with its harmony and coherent appearance. It is suitable both for solo enjoyment and as an accompaniment to hearty dishes such as grilled meat, beef, lamb or savory dishes and offers an exceptionally good price-pleasure ratio.
