The bouquet of the Scheid Family Wines District 7 Chardonnay is characterized by diverse, lush notes of orange blossom, yellow apples, pears and lemons. There are also nuances of vanilla, coconut and oak. On the palate, this white wine from California is smooth and well-balanced, with a medium body and beautiful viscosity. Here too, the variety of aromas makes for a great taste experience: ripe aromas of pineapple and Nashi pear as well as subliminal vanilla, citrus fruit and honey.

70 percent of the Scheid family's pure Chardonnay was matured in stainless steel tanks and 30 percent in French oak for 10 months, with 30 percent new oak being used. This combination accentuates the freshness and character of the grape variety as well as the terroir of the cooler, windy and foggy locations of the Scheid vineyards in California's Salinas Valley.
