Pago de Carraovejas ist eine spanische Weinkellerei in der Region Ribera del Duero. Pago de Carraovejas ist bekannt für seinen Spitzenwein, der ebenfalls Pago de Carraovejas heißt und eine Mischung aus Tinto Fino (Tempranillo), Cabernet Sauvignon (5%) und Merlot (3%) ist. Der Wein wurde 12 Monate lang in französischen und amerikanischen Eichenfässern verfeinert, bevor er in Flaschen abgefüllt und 2023 in den Verkauf gebracht wurde. Bereits die früheren Jahrgänge haben zahlreiche Preise und Auszeichnungen erhalten, wodurch er weithin als einer der besten Weine aus der Region Ribera del Duero gilt.Die Reben wachsen auf Böden mit Kalksteinstruktur, die roten Ton und weißen Lehm beinhalten. Die Rebenflächen liegen auf einer Höhe von 850 Metern in einem Tal gleichen Namens wie der Wein. Dieses Terroir verleiht dem Pago de Carraovejas eine einzigartige Tiefe. Wunderschöne Fruchtaromen paaren sich mit Noten von Vanille und Toast. Hier hat die Familie Aibar Weingärten mit Garnacha und Syrah bestockt. In diesem reinsortigen Garnacha finden nur die besten Trauben Eingang. Das Weingut arbeitet biodynamisch und legt sich eine enge Ertragskontrolle selbst auf. So finden sich in der Regel nur 50% der Trauben aus den Weinbergen im Wein wieder. Das gewährleistet eine maximale Qualität des verbleibenden Traubenmaterials. Die Farbe ist purpurrot und der Duft sortentypisch nach dunklen Kirschen, Kaffee und Pfeffer. Am Gaumen fruchtig frisch, ja sogar leicht kühl, aber wunderbar stoffig und kraftvoll. Pagos del Moncayo Prados Fusion Garnacha Syrah DO 2021

Die ausschließlich vom Weingut angebauten Rebsorten Garnacha und Syrah finden auch in diesem Wein Verwendung. Das besondere ist unter anderem, dass die Trauben ausschließlich mit nackten Füßen gestampft werden. Maschinen kommen also bei der Pressung der Trauben nicht zum Einsatz. Nur etwa 50% der Trauben aus dem Weinberg gelangen in den Wein, eine extreme Selektion also, die nur von Hand vorgenommen wird.Das ergibt einen tiefdunklen, fast schwarzen Farbton im Glas. In der Nase beherrschen Noten von reifen Beeren, Lakritz, Rosmarin, Thymian und Lavendel den Duft. Am Gaumen prägt volle Frucht und Saftigkeit den charakteristischen Prados Fusion. The Spanish winery Pago del Rey has set itself the goal of producing quality wines with their own personality. The winery was opened in Rueda in 2005.The Pagos del Rey Blume Verdejo Viura Rueda DO is made from the Verdejo grape variety and a small proportion of Viura. Viura is often blended with other grape varieties to produce dry white wines with real character.The grapes are harvested at night at the beginning of October. The cool night-time temperatures allow the berries to retain their wonderful aromatic character. The must undergoes 6-8 hours of cold maceration to allow the wonderful aromas to come to the fore. The subsequent fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 14-17°C in stainless steel tanks.In the glass, the white wine is light yellow with green reflections. The bouquet offers intense aromas of ripe tropical fruit with a slight hint of citrus, elderflower and apple. These impressions are repeated on the palate.
