Die ausschließlich vom Weingut angebauten Rebsorten Garnacha und Syrah finden auch in diesem Wein Verwendung. Das besondere ist unter anderem, dass die Trauben ausschließlich mit nackten Füßen gestampft werden. Maschinen kommen also bei der Pressung der Trauben nicht zum Einsatz. Nur etwa 50% der Trauben aus dem Weinberg gelangen in den Wein, eine extreme Selektion also, die nur von Hand vorgenommen wird.

Das ergibt einen tiefdunklen, fast schwarzen Farbton im Glas. In der Nase beherrschen Noten von reifen Beeren, Lakritz, Rosmarin, Thymian und Lavendel den Duft.  Am Gaumen prägt volle Frucht und Saftigkeit den charakteristischen Prados Fusion. Ein aufgeschlossener und offener Wein mit runden Tanninen und einem seidigen Abgang, der zum Weitertrinken einlädt.

Servieren Sie den Pagos del Moncayo Prados Fusion zu gegrilltem Fleisch oder Wurstwaren. Ein Genuss auch zu klassischer spanischer Küche wie Paella oder Tapas aller Art.

Hier hat die Familie Aibar Weingärten mit Garnacha und Syrah bestockt. In diesem reinsortigen Garnacha finden nur die besten Trauben Eingang. Das Weingut arbeitet biodynamisch und legt sich eine enge Ertragskontrolle selbst auf. So finden sich in der Regel nur 50% der Trauben aus den Weinbergen im Wein wieder. Das gewährleistet eine maximale Qualität des verbleibenden Traubenmaterials. Die Farbe ist purpurrot und der Duft sortentypisch nach dunklen Kirschen, Kaffee und Pfeffer. Am Gaumen fruchtig frisch, ja sogar leicht kühl, aber wunderbar stoffig und kraftvoll. Durch den 10-monatigen Ausbau in französischen und amerikanischen Holzfässern erhält der Prados Coleccion Garnacha eine würzige Note von Vanille und Kaffee. ‘The Uprising’ is a wine that was aged for 30 days in rum barrels and is a tribute to Australia’s Rum Rebellion of 1808. As the rum trade was hindered by the government at that time, citizens and soldiers joined together to bring down the government.
