The Juan Gil Blue Label Cuvée A is an exceptional red wine from the sun-drenched region of Jumilla in south-eastern Spain. In this special vintage, the prestigious Bodegas Juan Gil winery relies entirely on the indigenous Monastrell grape variety, which represents the identity of the region like no other. Vinified as a pure variety, this wine reflects all the depth, power and elegance of old vines - a true masterpiece of Spanish winemaking.In the glass, the wine is a deep cherry red with violet reflections. The intense bouquet seduces with aromas of ripe blackberries, black cherries and plums, accompanied by fine nuances such as dark chocolate, roasted coffee, black pepper and garrigue herbs. Powerful and full-bodied on the palate, with ripe fruit, structuring but wonderfully integrated tannins and an elegant woody spiciness. The long finish is distinctive, velvety and characterized by lingering spice.The Monastrell grapes come from vines that are over 40 years old and thrive on barren, stony soils at an altitude of around 700 meters. The continental climate with hot days and cool nights ensures optimal ripening and a high concentration of aromas. After selective manual harvesting, temperature-controlled fermentation takes place to preserve the fruit. The red wine then matures for 18 months in new French and American oak barriques, giving it depth, structure and ageing potential.The Juan Gil Blue Label Monastrell is an ideal accompaniment to hearty meat dishes such as leg of lamb, game ragout, beef steak or braised oxtail. The Lindes de Remelluri Labastida is a terroir-driven red wine from the renowned Rioja region that bears the signature of the cult Remelluri winery.The Granja de Nuestra Señora de Remelluri estate, located near Labastida, is one of the most beautiful wineries in Spain. Situated at the highest altitudes in Rioja Alavesa (up to 710 meters above sea level), the vines benefit from ideal climatic conditions and mineral-rich soils. The well-known oenologist Telmo Rodríguez, son of Remelluri founder Jaime Rodríguez, led the estate to international fame in the 1990s. Today, Remelluri is a flagship for authentic Rioja with Burgundian precision and Bordeaux structure.The cuvee is made up of Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano.
