The grapes for the Luis Canas Crianza Rioja DOCa come from vines that are on average 30 years old. After strict controls, they are matured for 12 months in used French and American oak barrels. The cherry-red Crianza is fruity on the nose with aromas of strawberry and banana. There are also notes of vanilla, cedar wood, fallen leaves and balsamic aromas. On the palate, the red wine is dense with strong but round tannins and is juicy with lots of fruit and a fine acidity.
