El Nido La Viña de Corteo 2022

El Nido La Viña del Corteo is one of the rarest and most impressive interpretations of Syrah in Spain. The wine comes from a small vineyard of just 1.8 hectares, which Chris Ringland had planted with Australian Syrah seedlings in 1998 - a project close to his heart within the El Nido portfolio. The vines grow at an altitude of around 700 meters, facing north/northeast, in order to preserve the natural freshness of the Syrah even in Jumilla's warm climate. Due to strict selection and the extremely limited vineyard area, production is only around 1,500 bottles per vintage.In the glass, La Viña del Corteo 2022 has a deep purple, dense color and is immediately lush and seductive. The bouquet opens with black fruits, black olives, spice and smoky roasted notes reminiscent of the concentrated style of warm Syrah regions. With a little air, black cherries, ripe blackberries and blackcurrants unfold, accompanied by a fine chocolaty nuance. On the palate, the wine is intense, complex and powerful, yet silky in structure. The finish shows peppery roasted notes, a precisely integrated acidity and a long, velvety aftertaste.Stylistically, La Viña del Corteo can deliberately be classified neither as a northern Rhône nor as an Australian Syrah icon. It combines power, depth and ripe aromatics with impressive balance and elegance - a highly potent, multi-layered Syrah that bears the signature of Chris Ringland as well as the unique terroir of Jumilla.La Viña del Corteo is a wine for special moments, rich in personality and with great development potential. Enate Cabernet - Merlot DO 2022

The Enate Cabernet - Merlot from the Spanish wine-growing region of Somontano stands for uncomplicated, modern red wine enjoyment. The renowned ENATE winery combines fruit, elegance and a particularly accessible style in this cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.The glass reveals a cherry red color of medium intensity. The nose is dominated by aromas of dark forest fruits such as redcurrants and blackberries, accompanied by fine floral notes of violets and subtle hints of pepper, vanilla and undergrowth.On the palate, the red wine is soft and round with velvety tannins and a balanced structure. This Spanish blend is redolent of ripe, dark berries and nuances of coffee and chocolate, complemented by a lovely minerality and subtle toasted and caramel aromas. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with nicely integrated tannins and a long finish offering toasted notes. The Enate Crianza DO matured for 9 months in oak casks and for a further 18 months in the bottle. Fernandez Rivera Tinto Pesquera MXI Ribera del Duero DO 2020

Der Tinto Pesquera MXI steht für die dritte Generation der Familia Fernández Rivera. Mitte der 1980er-Jahre trug die Familie wesentlich mit ihrem Tempranillo dazu bei, die nordspanische Anbauregion Ribera del Duero auf der Weltkarte des hochwertigen Weinanbaus zu platzieren. Nun kreieren die Enkelinnen von Alejandro Fernández mit dem Fernández Rivera Tinto Pesquera MXI einen weiteren herausragenden, reinsortigen Tempranillo. Der spanische Rotwein duftet intensiv fruchtig nach Himbeeren und Brombeeren sowie Backpflaumen. Hinzu kommen Nuancen von Nüssen, Schokolade und Zimt sowie von Eichenholz, die das Bouquet perfekt abrunden. Am Gaumen ist der tief granatrote Wein trocken und faszinierend weich, mit einer angenehmen Säure und perfekt integrierten, geschmeidigen Tanninen. Das Aromenspiel bietet Aromen von Haselnuss und Kirsche. Zum Finale hin sind Vanille- und Toffee-Aromen prägend. Die Tempranillo-Trauben für den Fernández Rivera Tinto Pesquera MXI stammen von den höchstgelegenen Parzellen des Weinguts, etwa 800 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel. In dieser Höhe können die Trauben die Fruchtintensität ausbilden, die in der heißen Ribera del Duero-Region sonst nicht möglich wäre. Die Parzellen haben die Nummern 10 und 11. Unter anderem daher rührt der Name Pesquera MXI (römische Zahl MXI = 1011). 14 Monate reifte der reinsortige Tempranillo in Eichenfässern unterschiedlicher Größen. Genießen Sie den Tinto Pesquera MXI bei einer Trinktemperatur von 15 bis 17 Grad. Unsere Empfehlung: Dekantieren Sie den Rotwein 30 Minuten vor dem Genuss. Dieser Tempranillo aus der Ribera del Duero-Region ist ein perfekter Begleiter zu hochwertigem, gegrilltem Fleisch, zum Beispiel zu Lammkoteletts. Noch bis 2035 ein Genuss-Garant.

Garmon Continental DO 2020

Garmon Continental is the third project of the Garcia family, which owns Bodegas Mauro, one of the best-known and most innovative Spanish wineries of the 20th century. The winery's only wine is Garmon, a single-varietal Tempranillo. This red wine comes from vines in the Ribera del Duero region that are between 30 and 100 years old. On average, these vines are 900 meters above sea level, which gives the wine a natural freshness, strength and depth. After 20 months of ageing in French oak barrels, the wine is bottled.
