Pruno comes from the same vineyards as the world-famous Finca Villacreces.

The quality of the grapes comes close to the "big brother", however the Pruno is an earlier accessible wine. A convincing result, especially considering the very reasonable price.

Dense ruby red, fruit-driven, concentrated aromas on the palate, juicy, almost meaty, yet playful and youthful, good harmony, joy to drink at a high-level Ribera!

12 months in French oak barrels (Darnajou and Taransaud) matured.

Gonzalo Anton gründete 1987 mit ein paar Freunden im Herzen der Rioja Alavesa in Spanien die Bodega Izadi. Er baute in Villabuena de Alava die modernste Bodega der Gegend, um ausschließlich Weine von höchster Qualität zu produzieren. Als 2000 sein Sohn Lalo Anton in die Bodega Izadi eintrat, startete die große Expansion des Familienunternehmens. Mit der Finca Villacreces, der Bodega Vetus und der Bodega Orben wurden drei hochwertige Weingüter in die Bodega Izadi integriert. Da alle Bodegas autark arbeiten sollten, gründete Lalo Anto die Grupo Artevino. Jede einzelne Bodega hat eine eigene Philosophie Weine zu erzeugen. Das gemeinsame Ziel der Grupo Artevino ist die Erzeugung hochwertiger, charaktervoller Weine mit einem hohen Wiedererkennungswert. Das gelingt eindrucksvoll mit Kreationen aus Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon und Merlot.

The Cune winery is actually better known from the Rioja region, but the winery also has vineyards in the Ribera del Duero. The Cune Roble is an accessible but powerful red wine. The wine is purple in the glass and the nose reveals lots of black fruit with a floral note. This is complemented by a mineral touch and vanilla aromas from the 5-month maturation in American oak barrels. On the palate, there are beautiful aromas of licorice and vanilla with notes of roasted coffee. An intense berry aroma closes the taste impression at the end. In the finish, slightly sweet tannins round off the pleasant aftertaste.Try the Cune Roble Ribera del Duero with classic paella or goat's cheese. Der Protos 27 Tinto ist ein Jubiläumswein. Die Bodegas Protos feiert damit ihr 90-jähriges Bestehen. Im Jahre 1927 wagten es 11 Weinbauern Reben in der damals noch völlig als unwirklich und ungeeigneten Region Ribera del Duero zu pflanzen und ein Weingut zu gründen. Sie nannten es Bodega Ribera Duero. Erst 55 Jahre später gab man die Bezeichnung des Weingutes ab um der Gründung der DO Ribera del Duero den Weg freizumachen. Da man als erstes Weingut ansässig war, lag wohl nichts näher als sich aus dem Griechischen kommend Protos, „der Erste“ zukünftig zu benennen.Mit dem ersten Jahrgang 2014 würdigt man die Arbeit der Gründer. Durch den Einsatz eigens entwickelter Hefen aus eigener Forschung geht man mit diesem Wein neue Wege. Mit dem Ausstatten eines Retro-Etiketts und des modernen Ausbaus des Weins verbindet man Tradition und Moderne auf eindrucksvolle Weise.Die Trauben für den Protos 27 Tinto stammen von teils 70 Jahre alten Tempranillo Rebstöcken. Neben der  alkoholischen Gärung bei 25 Grad Celsius fand eine malolaktische Gärung in neuen französischen Eichenfässern statt. Der Wein wurde dann einer 16-monatigen Reifung in neuen französischen Fässern und einer 12-monatigen Flaschenreifung unterzogen.In der Nase findet man viel Frucht von schwarzer Himbeere, Brombeere und Kirscharomen. Kakao und Tabaknoten beeindrucken ebenso wie Vanille und Schokolade. Am Gaumen viel Kraft, Komplexität, Eleganz und Balance. Die fein eingebundenen Tannine lassen den Wein frisch und cremig wirken. Das harmonische Zusammenspiel aller Komponenten macht die Einzigartigkeit dieses Weins aus.Genießen Sie den Protos 27 Tinto zu Grillfleisch aller Art. Er ist auch ein hervorragender Begleiter für deftige Eintöpfe oder solo für einen entspannten Fernsehabend.

Barón de Ley Reserva Is made from grapes coming from our own vineyards in Mendavia (Rioja Baja). The climate in this part of Rioja, with clear Mediterranean influence, provides excellent maturations which, combined with a low yield viticulture (5.000 kgrs/Ha. aproximately), result in modern Riojas with a “mediterranean soul”; wines with combine remarkable power with the elegance and harmony that have always been characteristic of the Rioja wines. The wine was aged for 20 months in new american oak casks, and afterwards 24 months in bottle until arriving to its ideal moment for enjoyment. This wine has not been submitted to filterings or artificial stabilizations, which might result in the appearance of natural sediments in the bottle.With an attractive red ruby coulour with medium-high intensity, in the nose it suprises for a powerful fruit remarkably blended with traces from its noble ageing: coconut and toffee, evolving into seductive nuances of spices and mediterranean bush. The attack is truly powerful and develops in the mouth a pleasant sensation of volume and onctuosity with drives us to a long finish, nervous and fresh due to its optimum acidity, and bringing back an aftertaste with red fruits and again mediterranean bushes.
