Der Rust en Vrede Estate Vineyard Syrah ist purpurfarben mit einem schwarzen Kern. Er riecht voluminös und vielschichtig nach Blaubeeren, süßer Holzwürze, Vanille und einem floralen Mix. Am Gaumen ist er hoch konzentriert mit einer leicht tintigen Note. Gefolgt von herrlichen Aromen einer Brombeermarmelade, einem Hauch Minze, gepfefferter Salami und Veilchen.

Die feine Säure und strukturierten Tannine sorgen für eine selten zu findende Eleganz. Die Holznoten der eingesetzten Eichenfässer werden durch eine Fülle von Fruchtextrakten ausgeglichen, die einen langen, opulenten, süß-fruchtigen Abgang ergeben. Das Alterungspotential des Rust en Vrede Estate Vineyard Syrah liegt bei mindestens 10 Jahren.

Zu allen Wildgerichten eine sehr gute Wahl. Lässt sich auch mit Schimmelkäse gut kombinieren.

Der Rust en Vrede Estate ist ein Cuvee aus den Rebsorten Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah und Merlot. Der dominierende Cabernet gibt dem Wein herrliche Noten von schwarzer Johannisbeere und weiteren dunklen Früchten wie Heidelbeere. Der Syrah sorgt für eine schöne Würze mit erdigen Aromen. Der Merlot steuert sanfte florale Aromen von Veilchen und Jasmin bei. Eine Kombination, die am Gaumen wirklich Spaß macht. Die Farbe ist purpurrot und in der Nase finden sich Noten von frischem Leder, Tabak, Maulbeeren und Waldboden wieder. Der langanhaltende Abgang wird durch samtig weiche Tannine bestimmt.Der Rust en Vrede Estate reifte 18 Monate in 100% französischen Fässern, die mittelstark getoastet waren. Dadurch erhält der Wein einen schönen runden Körper und eine feste Struktur. Die moderate Säure balanciert die Trockenheit wunderbar aus.Ergänzend zu Wildgerichten aller Art ein wirklicher Genuss.

Der Boekenhoutskloof Chocolate Block ist ein unverwechselbares Geschmackserlebnis aus Südafrika. In der Nase vereint dieser Blend aus knapp drei Viertel Syrah (Shiraz) sowie kleineren Anteilen von Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache Noir, Cinsault und Viognier vielfältige Noten: Intensive Kirschnoten, Kardamom, süßer Tabak, Espresso und ein Hauch von Parfüm kommen hier zusammen. Am Gaumen vollmundig und rund, mit sehr guter Struktur, erfrischender Säure, einer rauchigen Mineralität und Aromen von schwarzen Oliven, sowie Lakritz und reifen Pflaumen.Für 16 Monate wurde der Boekenhoutskloof Chocolate Block im Eichenholz ausgebaut, wobei zu 10% neue Fässer zum Einsatz kamen. Der außergewöhnliche Wein passt ideal zu Pasta und Pizza, dunklem Fleisch (gebraten oder gegrillt), zu Geräuchertem oder zu mittelkräftigem Käse oder Hartkäse.Auch als 1.5-Liter-Magnum-Flasche erhältlich.

The grapes for the Lanzerac Syrah (Shiraz) come from the Jonkershoek valley, located in the wine-growing region of Stellenbosch. The vines were planted in 2003 and 2004. They grow on soils that consist mainly of deep granite and clay, giving the wine its fine minerality. The Lanzerac Syrah is a typical deep red with purple glints in the glass. The wine is powerful and full-bodied on the palate, showing notes of white pepper, plums, coriander and hints of Malayan curry. The ripe, multi-layered fruitiness of red and black berries give it a great complexity. Half of the ageing took place in French oak casks and the other half in steel tanks, resulting in a soft, fine tannin structure that underpins the prolonged finish.Enjoy the Lanzerac Syrah on its own by the fireplace, or with good friends at a dinner of hearty cold cuts or grilled ribeye steaks and leg of lamb.
